Nowadays graphene based composites were developed due to their unique structure and excellent properties. Present study involves the preparation of fictionalized graphene grafted chitosan and ortho-Phenylenediamine (F-GE-CH-OPD) composite through solution casting method for electrical conductivity. The prepared composite was characterised by FTIR, TGA, XRD and Conductivity analysis. The formation of F-GE-CH composite was confirmed by FTIR and XRD studies through the shifting of peak values from Chitosan to F-GE-CH composite due to strong interaction between the compounds. Thermal stability of the sample was analysed by TGA curves. The electrical conductivities of F-GE-CH-OPD increased with the increase of F-GE content.

The performance characteristics of a single-cylinder four-stroke variable compression ratio engine fueled with esterified neem oil were investigated. The suitability of esterified neem oil produced from seed of neem oil by transesterification process has been studied in variable compression ratio engine. Experiment has been conducted at various loads like 0 kg,2 kg,4kg, 6 kg, 8 kg, 10 kg, and 12 kg with engine speed of 1500 rpm and at compression ratio varies from 13:1 to 19:1. The impact of compression ratio depend on fuel consumption. The performance characteristics like brake thermal efficiencies(BTH), brake specific fuel consumption(BSFC), brake specific energy consumption(BSEC) and Volumetric efficiency(VE) are analyzed for neem oil in the variable compression ratio engine.

The shift to organic agricultural practices in the recent years has encouraged researchers to develop biological agents to combat the problems of pest infestation and the accumulation of chemicals in the soil. A number of microorganisms have been found to produce and regulate phytohormones which play a major role in the plant growth promotion, development and response to environmental changes including stress. Hence, our main target was to develop a phytohormone-based plant growth promoting agent to study the difference in plant growth and development after its application in the rhizosphere of soil, thereby determining the efficacy of the product. An interaction study was conducted among the three commonly available laboratory strains of Bacillus megaterium, Bacillus thuringiensis and Trichoderma viride and the approach was exploited for the formulation of two organic products. An increase in shoot length by 10%, increase in number of nodes by 6% and increase in the number of leaves by 23% were observed after the application of the fungal formulation. The chlorophyll content assay showed increased chlorophyll content in the leaves of plants after the application of the bacterial formulation. Higher disease resistance was observed too after the application of fungal product. The novelty of this approach lies not only in the formulations which resulted in growth promotion, protection of the plant against pathogens and longer shelf life but also in low capital costs, easy availability of carrier materials and the whole approach being environment friendly.

This paper presents a power flow management in interline (IPFC), capable of simultaneous compensation for voltage and current in multi-bus/multi- feeder systems. In this configuration, one shunt voltage-source converter (shunt VSC) and two or more series VSCs exist. The system can be applied to adjacent feeders to compensate for supply-voltage and load current imperfections on the main feeder and full compensation of supply voltage imperfections on the other feeders. In the proposed configuration, all converters are connected back to back on the dc side and share a common dc-link capacitor. Therefore, power can be transferred from one feeder to adjacent feeders to compensate for sag/swell and interruption. The proposed topology can be used for simultaneous compensation of voltage and current imperfections in both feeders by sharing power compensation capabilities between two adjacent feeders which are not connected. The system is also capable of compensating for interruptions without the need for a battery storage system and consequently without storage capacity limitations. The performance of the IPFC as well as the adopted control algorithm is illustrated by simulation.

In this paper, a modulation and control method for the new transformer-less unified power flow controller (UPFC) is presented. As is well known, the conventional UPFC that consists of two back-to-back inverters requires bulky and often complicated zigzag transformers for isolation and reaching high power rating with desired voltage waveforms. To overcome this problem, a completely transformer-less UPFC based on an innovative configuration of two cascade multilevel inverters (CMIs) has been proposed. The new UPFC offers several advantages over the traditional technology, such as transformer-less, light weight, high efficiency, low cost and fast dynamic response. This paper focuses on the modulation and control for this new transformer-less UPFC, including optimized fundamental frequency modulation (FFM) for low total harmonic distortion (THD) and high efficiency, independent active and reactive power control over the transmission line, dc-link voltage balance control, etc.

In the present study invesitigation the physicochemical study of soil is based on various parameters like pH, conductivity , Potassium, phosphorous. This study leads us to the conclusion of the nutrient quantiy present in soil of Vedharnyam Taluka, Nagapattinam district,Tamil nadu. The soil samples were collected in February 2018 from rice field. Result shows that result show that all the five selected places of vedharnyam have medium minerals content. Conductivity of all amples is found to be less. The result were matched IAS value This information will help farmers to solve the problems related to soil nutrients.

The objective of this study was to examine the torrefaction process of lignocellulose biomass rice husk produced in Ethiopia through dry torrefaction. Three different torrefaction temperatures 230, 255 and 2800C with three different holding times 20, 40 and 60 minutes were considered. The result showed that a net reduction of the volatiles content, mass yield, moisture content, bulk density and atomic oxygen content correlate with increasing torrefaction temperature and reaction time, while atomic carbon content, higher heating value(HHV),fixed carbon content and energy density increase with higher torrefaction temperatures and time in both treatment cases. So, torrefaction temperature and holding time had a significant effect on torrefaction process of rice husk. Based on the findings of this study, temperature of 280 with a residence time of 60 min for dry torrefaction and temperature of 280 could be suggested for an effective and proper torrefaction process to recycle the agricultural biomass. The energy density of dry torrefaction was enhanced by 120%. From the thermo gravimetric analysis TGA, torrefaction peaks were observed at temperatures between 200-3000C.The pyrolysis peaks appeared as a result of the degradation of rice husk. Therefore, the torrefied biomass becomes fuel sources which can be applied to replace with fossil fuel .

For manufacturing low-cost materials using Natural fibers as an alternative reinforcement in polymeric composite materials are growing every day. The main intention is to use these natural fibers effectively and economically to produce good quality fibre reinforced polymer composites for various applications. This study was conducted to analyze tensile, flexural, hardness, impact and compression test for the compatibility and suitability of new natural fibers like woven alovera and hemp (AH), alovera and Flax (AF),Hemp and Flax (HF) and alovera, hemp and flax(AHF). Flax fibers have gained popularity due to an increasing requirement for developing sustainable materials and are cost effective. Hemp fibers as a response to the increasing demand for developing biodegradable, sustainable, and recyclable materials. The combination of Natural fibers used is easily and quickly decomposable, low fuel emission and has greater impact in green initiatives rather than glass fibers. From the study, the hybrid composites used by us provide good mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural properties and best impact strength is observed. Hence it has greater implication in the transportation and automobile industry there by making sustainable and eco friendly environment.
