 Abstract

This paper presents a criminal detection framework that could help policemen to recognize the face of a criminal or a suspect is proposed. A client-server video based face recognition framework is used here. The framework applies face detection at the client side and face recognition at the server side. The face detection stage uses Viola Jones algorithm supported by Open CV. The face recognition stage is based on Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) is recently proposed algorithm for face feature extraction which is implemented using python. In this method LBP image is segmented into local regions and histogram of each is extracted and are concatenated to form a face descriptor. It mainly consists of three parts, namely face representation, feature extraction and classification. Face representation represents how to model a face and determines the successive algorithms of detection and recognition. The most useful and unique features of the face image are extracted in the feature extraction phase. In the classification the face image is compared with the images from the database. The proposed face detection and recognition is implemented using Android studio and Open CV library, and tested using Android Smartphone and Pcs.

 Abstract

In the traditional cryptography, key is generated randomly and it is very difficult to remember, hence, stored in smart card, tamper-resistant token, etc. or password based authentication method is used to control the access of cryptographic key. But these user selected key sometimes lost or guessed by dictionary attacks. Therefore biometric keys are proving to be better alternative to these non-memorable passwords. But the problem with biometrics is that once it gets compromised it cannot be reused. As a proficient solution for this problem, cancelable biometrics has been proposed. Cancelable biometric refers to the intentional distortion of biometric feature. In this paper,we present a cancelable biometrics based group key generation. The Proposed algorithm facilitates to update the key when the number of members are added in or revoked from group.We aim to use Homomorphic encryption for group key generation.

 Abstract

Many researchers have been carried out in the area of bottom ash utilization in the past. In this study fine aggregate in concrete mix has been replaced with lignite bottom ash and Polypropylene fibre is additionally used to enhance the strength characteristics of concrete. A mix design has been done for M25 Grade of concrete. The mix is prepared for different combinations of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% of replacement of sand by bottom ash with 0.5% and 1% of polypropylene fibre by weight of Cement. The mechanical properties such as compressive strength and flexural strength are performed and these were compared with control mix. It was found that the optimal combination as 20% bottom ash and 0.5% polypropylene fibre.

 Abstract

Banks are the lifeline of an economy of any country. They are considering as a leader of the development of nation. Banks are like pillars of financial market. The present study is an attempt to measure the financial performance of the public sector bank of India i.e. Punjab & Sind Bank. This study is completely based on secondary data and different ratios have been applied to evaluate the financial performance of the Punjab & Sind bank. This study concluded that the overall performance of the bank in terms of liquidity (ROA, ROE) has been improving since 2013 up to 2016 and declining at 2017. Total Income, Total assets, total deposits are all showing positive trends during the study period except 2016-17. But in recent years the profitability position of the bank decreased continuously

 Abstract

The demonetization had a great major and instant impact on Indian economy. In this paper, an attempt has been made to find impact of demonetization on common people of India Samples of 250 respondents were randomly selected from Amritsar District. It is found that demonetization has adversely affected the daily routine life of common people of India. It also results that demonetization helps in curbing black money and reducing corruption, terrorism etc.
