The numbers of operations are required in manufacturing processes which include but not limited to cutting, Drilling, Grinding, Welding etc. However the separate equipment is required for performing each and every operation and hence the cost of setup is very high. This project deals with the fabrication of multipurpose mechanical machine which is capable of performing a number of operations in single machine. The developed machine is capable of performing operations such as hacksaw cutting, drilling and grinding in a single machine which has only one prime mover. This not only saves the space but also helps in saving the power. In addition the cost of setting up the three machines is eliminated as the price of single machine is almost equivalent to the single drilling machine.

Environment constitutes a very important part of our life. To understand life without studying the impact of environment is almost impossible. We use renewable and non-renewable resources in our day to day life. We have to be more careful in using resources especially non-renewable which will vanish as we use them. All human activities have impact on environment. This impact is increasing day by day as the population in the recent time has increased rapidly. Thus there is need for the awareness about the environmental issues. Household wastes also create environmental pollution if they are not disposed properly. In the present study the status of environmental awareness and waste disposal practices of homemakers of Sambalpur university campus, Burla, Odisha was studied. A total of fifty (n=50) homemakers were selected as sample. An Environment attitude scale was used to assess the environmental awareness level and a self formulated questionnaire was used to determine their household waste disposal practices. Purposive sampling method was used for data collection. The major findings of the study were most of the respondents have moderately favorable attitude and some have neutral attitude and none of them have extremely favorable and extremely unfavorable attitude towards the environmental pollution. An analysis of waste disposal practices showed that most of them give paper, plastic bags, bottles, hard plastics, glass bottles to the waste collector. Some of the respondents sorted out their waste before disposal, composting their organic waste and using it for their kitchen garden and household plants, recycle and reuse their waste into decoration items.

Car number plate recognition has been studied generally and the development in image capture technology helps to enhance novel methods to gain this objective. This technique is presented for actual time recognition and segmentation of car number plates based on image processing techniques. As different countries and states have different types of vehicles, algorithms need to identity and define what part of the vehicle is in fact the number plate. This variation requires algorithms to be general for such wide criteria. An improved technique is proposed for the recognition of car number plates based on K-means clustering.

Transmission control Protocol (TCP) is the transport layer protocol handles the maximum internet traffic, thus maintaining performance of transmission control protocol is important, which impacts the performance of internet. However, end-to-end turnout in TCP degrades notably when operated in wireless networks, since random packet losses and packet rearrangement area unit thought of as congestion. In wireless networks, because of high bit error rate and changing level of congestion, retransmission timeouts for packets lost in transmission is inevitable. transmission control protocol misinterprets this loss to congestion and invokes congestion control by triggering quick retransmission and quick recovery, resulting in under-utilization of the network resources. This paper presents numerous performance improvement mechanisms by that transmission control protocol doesn't take into account each packet loss as congestion. These mechanisms facilitate transmission control protocol to distinguish between congestion and packet loss and increase throughput performance.

A simple, sensitive, rapid and reproducible UV method has been developed and validated for Calibration determination of Silodosine in bulk and in pharmaceutical formulation. For development of UV method for Standard stock solutions of Silodosine are prepared by using methanol and further dilutions for sample are prepared by using distilled water. Quantitative method development by zero order derivative method and first order derivative method was measured at 266 and 325nm respectively. Standard curve showed a regression coefficient zero order derivative and first order derivative is 0.999 and 0.998 respectively. The method was validated as per ICH guidelines. The precision and repeatability results showed % RSD less than 2%.
