In recent years popularity of private cars is getting urban traffic more and more crowded. As result traffic is becoming one of important problems in big cities in all over the world. Some of the traffic concerns are congestions and accidents which have caused a huge waste of time, property damage and environmental pollution. the intelligent traffic administration system, based on Internet of Things, which is featured by low cost, high scalability, high compatibility, easy to upgrade, to replace traditional traffic management system and the proposed system can improve road traffic tremendously. The Internet of Things is based on the Internet, network wireless sensing and detection technologies to realize the intelligent recognition on the tagged traffic object, tracking, monitoring, managing and processed automatically.

Population change and literacy status of the people are two key determinants of the overall development of any region. This study aims to analyze the changing pattern of growth and the changes in literacy rate over a period of time in the district of Bankura based on secondary database from Census of India 2011. The study shows Bankura has always experienced a normal unevenness in terms of spatial distribution. It has a population density of 464 persons/sq. km in 2001 that increased to 523 persons/sq. km in 2011. Bankura exhibits a low decadal growth rate of 12.64% in 2001-2011. The literacy rate of Bankura has increased from 52.04% in 1991 to 63.84% in 2001 and 70.95% in 2011. Among all the blocks bankura district, Kotulpur block ranks first in terms of total literacy rate, male literacy rate and female literacy rate. However Bankura scores low on the overall female literacy side. Literacy rate has increased as a result of wide spread of free school education and mass literacy campaign through direct involvement of the poor and weaker section of the society mainly with the help of panchayets.

Social networking among the youth population in the present times is strengthening individuality with social connectivity. In the contemporary world, usage of some form of social media has seen a phenomenal rise. Some of the educators are now also exploring the use of Web 2.0 technologies and services for use among distance learners for academics. With the change of time and need of the society, there has been massive influence of mobile network on learning. This paper is based on the study done to find out the perception on usage of social networking sites for academic purposes by distance learners pursuing post graduate counselling and family therapy programme from Indira Gandhi National Open University. The participants were learners pursuing counselling and family therapy programme from Indira Gandhi National Open University who were enrolled at learner support centers located in Delhi-NCR. Structured questionnaire was used to elicit information. For selection of the respondents incidental sampling procedure was adopted. The findings indicate high use of social networking by the respondents for personal interactions and comparatively lesser for sharing of academic information. The paper discusses whether social networking can be a medium for academics and more-so for distance learning to bridge the gap between teacher, learners and peer group.

The present study attempt a horizontal analysis of division wise patterns of poverty on head count ratio of existing among social and religious groups in Karnataka state and specially focus on Hyderabad-Karnataka region. This region constrains six most backward districts in Karnataka that are below the state and national average in majority of socio economic indicators and also study cover four administrative divisions are Kalaburagi division, is also known as Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) region, Bengaluru division, Mysuru division and Belagavi division. Methodology of my research work is primarily uses specific poverty line of Karnataka which is defined Tendulkar Methodology Rs.418 and Rs.588 in rural & urban area of 61st round (2004-05) and Rs.902 and Rs.1089 in rural & urban area of 68th round (2011-12) of NSSO rounds data to decipher micro level of poverty in districts of Karnataka, Division wise, Social groups and Religious groups such as SC/ST/OBC & Others. Study also estimates of logistic regression to identify key determinants of poverty of the independent variables. Poverty estimates district wise and division wise poverty, there is highest ratio found in Kalaburagi division or (HK) region, second larger poverty consist in Belagavi division of both rural and urban. While poverty in the state reduced by total 12.74%, points between 2004-05 and 2011-12. Remnants the incidence of poverty in social group wise reduced by 19.67% in Scheduled Tries, 20.66% in Scheduled Caste, 15.9% in OBC & 4.5% and the estimates poverty in religion wise reduced by 13.45% in Hindu and 11.46% in Muslims communities.

In order to study the seasonal variation of fluoride in surface and ground water, samples were collected from eighteen villages near the bank of Thovalai and Nanchilnadu Puthanar Channel in Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu. The period of study was divided into three seasons (Southwest monsoon, Northeast monsoon and Summer) for two years. The concentration of fluoride was estimated by Ion Selective Electrode method. Fluoride intake may be associated with a number of adverse health effects. Dental fluorosis and effects on bones (increased fragility and skeletal fluorosis) are the two well documented adverse effects of fluoride intake. However, it is considered to be beneficial in the prevention of dental caries (tooth decay). Fluoride is a persistent and non-degradable toxin that is accumulating in water, soils, plants and wildlife. The emerging picture from all risk assessments conducted on fluoride is that there exists a narrow margin between the recommended intakes for the prevention of dental caries and the upper limits of exposure. The result showed that fluoride content of surface water ranged from a minimum of 0.10 mg/L during southwest monsoon to a maximum of 0.72 mg/L during summer. Similarly, the ground water showed the fluoride content ranged from 0.25 mg/L during southwest monsoon to 3.97 mg/L in bore well water collected from Nalloor village during summer season. The study revealed low fluoride concentration during monsoon seasons compared to summer season; this may be due to dilution with rain water. All the surface water samples were found to exhibit fluoride contents well within permissible limit prescribed by WHO (0.5 -1.0 mg/L). However, most of the ground water samples were found to have these values well above the permissible limit and hence unsuitable for drinking purpose. Overall ground water quality was found unsatisfactory for drinking purpose without any prior treatment.

In big cities, it is generally seen that in multi storey buildings (both residential and commercial) an open space is reserved for parking generally at the ground floor. Also in office buildings, a wide open space is required for the purpose of assembly hall and auditoriums. To meet these requirements it is necessary to plan the building without or with minimal use of floating columns. In this research, Linear Static Analysis is performed to observe the responses of a building without floating column and a building with floating columns in seismic zone V under soft soil type III using ETABS.
