: In this paper we examine the combined effects of Chemical reaction and Viscous Dissipation effects on MHD free convective Rivlin-Ericksen fluid flow past a semi-infinite stationary vertical porous plate with radiation absorption. The flow was unsteady and restricted to the laminar domain. The dimensionless governing equations for this investigation are solved analytically by using multiple regular perturbation law. The effects of various physical parameters on velocity, temperature and concentration fields are presented graphically. With the aid of these, the expression for the skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number profiles was done with the help of tables. It was found that an increases in chemical reaction, Schmidt number, Prandtl number, thermal radiation, leads to decrease in both velocity and temperature. However an increase in both chemical reactions, Schmidt number, leads to decreases in concentration. And also an increase in porous medium, solutal Grashof number and Radiation parameter leads to increases in both velocity and temperature.

The principal benefit of a vertical axis wind turbine using magnetic levitation in which the rotor is floating in the air due to levitation force which is generated using magnetic repulsion so that mechanical friction is totally eliminated. This new design comprises magnetic levitation phenomenon using rare earth permanent magnets between both rotors to reduce the losses. In the levitated generator design bearings and gears are absent which provides the frictionless flow of energy minimizing noise and hence friction losses are also reduced. At the same time the soft running of some moving component ensures minimum material wear, which reduce the maintenance cost. A VAWT rotor has two types such as savonius and darrieus. Savonius wind turbine produces high torque compare to other which is useful in self-starting. In other hand darrieus rotor has high tip speed ratio useful for electrical generation. So the combination of both type rotors are used over the individual savonius or darrieus rotor would have many advantages. so they are able to operate with starting speeds as low as 1.5 m/s. Also, they can operate at winds speed exceeding upto 40 m/s. That makes the rotation possible in very low wind speeds. The use of magnetitic levitation phenomenon in the VAWT reduces the vibration around 36% to 38%. Also it is conclude that the power generated with maglev system is increase by 30% compare to the normal wind turbine.

Concrete is the major construction material which contains the basic ingredients as binding material, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water in maximum proportion. These ingredients should be mixed thoroughly to obtain resulting mixed of desired strength. In this investigation, stone dust, a waste material obtained from crusher plants is used as partial replacement of cement and fine aggregate. M25 grade of concrete was taken for this investigation with a final mix proportion of 1:1.79:2.92 at w/c ratio of 0.50. The replacement levels of cement and fine aggregate with stone dust were 5%, 10%, 15%. The compressive strength of specimens cast for different proportions of stone dust was determined and compare the same with referral concrete. The result showed that the stone dust can effectively been used as partial replacement of cement and fine aggregate without compromising the compressive strength.

Information Technology industry is the core industry in the current scenario and its playing an important role in India. India is considered one of the biggest IT capitals and all major IT players have their presence in India. Bangalore is the IT hub and largest IT exporter of India and it is known as the silicon valley of India. This paper explains about the work domain, family domain, conflict domain, work life balance of IT employees working in Bangalore. The primary data for the study are collected through questionnaires and personal interviews and secondary data through published journals, reports, research papers from different IT related sites from the internet.

The impact of urbanization on land resources has a major concern over past few decades, and in particular, to those involved in soil studies. Variations in soil properties in different land use might be due to dynamic interactions among environmental factors such as climate, parent material, topography and land use and land cover. This study was initiated to investigate the impact of different land uses on the soil characteristics in the Ranipur Rao Shiwalik hill Watershed at Haridwar. However, for the study point of view, the total length of Ranipur Rao is divided into five zones having forest area, industrial area residential area, agro-residential area and agricultural area. Mean value of pH in agricultural land showed the highest pH (7.38-7.56) followed by the industrial and residential areas. Soil of forest area showed highest Organic Matter (4.85%) and minimum Organic Matter (0.87%) found in industrial area due to the impact of industrial activities. A correlation matrix of 12 soil parameters representing soil physico- chemical properties resulted at P<0.05 or P<0.01 level and interrelationship among the nutrients offers a better understanding of the soil system. Thus, it may be concluded that the different land uses have significant effects on soil characteristics which in turn lead to the change in the nutrient status of soil. These findings will be useful for helping to describe and classify the soils and predict their potential for sustainable land uses and effective technologies to avoid the soil quality from further deterioration.
