In the era of evolving energy landscapes, the integration of renewable energy sources and the advancement of smart grid technologies have become imperative for achieving sustainable and efficient power systems. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the application analysis of power electronic technology in smart grids. Power electronics play a pivotal role in enabling various functionalities within smart grids, including grid integration of renewable energy sources, enhancement of power quality, facilitation of energy storage systems, and implementation of demand response strategies. By examining the latest developments and challenges in the field, this paper aims to shed light on the critical role of power electronic solutions in shaping the future of smart grids.
