Abstract
Abstract: The role of women in India's struggle for independence cannot be overlooked. Despite the patriarchal society and constraints, they faced, women actively participated in the freedom movement alongside their male counterparts. The objective of this article is to examine the pivotal role played by women in the Indian independence movement, including their contribution in various forms such as leading protests, organizing rallies, writing revolutionary literature, and more. The scope of this article covers the period from the late 19th century to 1947, when India gained independence from British rule. This article concludes that women's involvement was a crucial factor in the success of the freedom movement and continues to inspire generations of women in India to fight for their rights and equality.
