The purpose of this review is to give a thorough overview of the formulation and manufacture of sugar-free polyherbal cough syrups that use medicinal plants including clove (Syzygium aromaticum), cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), ginger (Zingiber officinale), tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), turmeric (Curcuma longa), and honey.
