Abstract
Across the globe, mental health care is a vital component of healthcare. Millions of people worldwide are impacted by mental health conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and many of these patients do not receive the proper care for many of the causes. By providing patients with individualized, effective and easily accessible care, artificial intelligence holds the potential to completely transform the mental health care industry. In addition to offering a platform for psychotherapy interventions, AI tools can accurately diagnose patients and recommend courses of treatment. This article examines the advantages, drawbacks, and potential future research areas of artificial intelligence in mental health treatment.
