In recent years, there has been a significant increase in reports regarding the health promoting benefits of withania somnifera also known as winter cherry or Ashwagandha. Ashwagandha has a long history of use in ayurvedic medicines, and is best known as an adaptogen, a compound that can helps to strengthen or boost immunity. Ashwagandha is a herbal remedy in ayurvedic medicines.
