Abstract
Puranas are the main source of Indian literature and culture. Some of the deep aspects and real memories of human life that have been going on for many centuries are found in the stories of Puranas. According to Puranas the Past, Present and Future of our life are surrounded by the story and characters of Humans, Superhuman, Demons, Rakshasas, Monsters, Gandharvas, and Yakshas. As human beings, we love to analyze daily activities with our mythological stories; sometimes with the characters also. Particular words from myth were converted as regular words in our conversation. The word 'Astom gorvo' is not only the eighth womb it also carries a huge meaning in this novel named as 'Astom gorvo', written by Bani Basu.
