  Abstract


The study of joints with ANSYS can help in fast and accurate simulations to adjoin experimental results. This helps to fine-tune the analytical model and the experimental setup as per previous results. In this work, we will analyze the relationships between steel beams and columns. When this is overloaded, the connections bear the majority of the damage. Four different types of specimens with simple and stiff connections will be used. This investigation will examine how beams and columns are connected by utilizing a flange cleat, Seat angle, Stiffener angle, and Clip angle. An analytical study will be conducted on typical beam-column joints subjected to an eccentric load. The ultimate load-carrying capacity, peak displacement, crack propagation, and energy dissipation capacity will be studied.
