Delonix regia (Gulmohar) tree is a member of the family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpiniaceae family. It is an ornament plant and it is a deciduous, large tree with fern-like leaves. Gulmohar is also known as flame tree or royal poinciana or the peacock flower. Ayurvedic and traditional medicines uses the stem, bark, leaves, flower and seed of this plant to treat the various disease.
