Abstract
Life is a constant state of flux, in order to achieve its splendour and stateliness, Indian English literature had to travel a long way to get there. In tandem with this trip, the standing of women around the world has been rapidly changing in recent years. Indian women have a long history of blindly accepting the family structure and displaying a rebellious attitude. Slowly, though, the times changed, and people began to strive for self-sufficiency and independence. The current paper examines how her better half's self-centered perspective causes her to revert to being a soul and ambitious lady.
