In case of Kharak Singh v. state of U.P it was held that, the life guaranteed under Article 21 is not mere animal existence, and is something more than that. Moreover the exercise of right to privacy guaranteed by the Constitution of India is not absolute, and the government can impose reasonable restrictions as and when the situation arises in the interest of the community.
