Due to current structure of factory, it is necessary to build the advanced factory to upgrade the manufacturing industry. Advanced manufacturing information system (AMIS) adopts the combination of hardware technology and software technology. The programmable logic controller (PLC) is mainly responsible for collecting raw information with respect to different job orders issued to manufacturing department. A main limitation to achieve increase production efficiency is unknown Costs & time required. By implementation of AMIS, it offers a wide view of manufacturing and increase in efficiency by analyzing the production site & data collection. The system helped in integrate communication process, computing process, and control process to meet the industrial demands of defect free environment & efficient production system. AMIS provides online product wise production status of each stage and analyzed performance of each stage by providing the Overall Equipment Efficiency.
