Abstract
Nelogal Gram Panchayat is situated in Haveri Taluk in Haveri District, Zilla Panchayat HQ is about 15 km from here. Nelogal Gram Panchayat is basically with population of about 4065 . it has 33 Grama panchyath. Out of total agricultural land, about 80% of the land is dependent on rain for agriculture. In the last decade, were completely dependent on agriculture and horticulture faced drought conditions and normal life became very difficult. There seemed to be no way to cope up with this problem. Migration for their livelihood was on the cards. It was at this juncture that MGNREGA intervention came to their rescue.
