Abstract
of adolescent girls in Kerala. To assess these the study was conducted among 3781 adolescent girls in the age group of 13-19 years. For data collection Self Esteem /Body Esteem Scale (Asha & Jayan,2016), Safety Preparedness Assessment Scale (Asha & Jayan, 2016 ) and Rape Myth Avoidance Scale (Asha & Jayan,2016) were used. Two way ANOVA was used for data analysis. The findings of the study revealed that Abstract: This study is undertaken to assess the role of self-esteem and safety preparedness on rape myth avoidance self esteem and safety preparedness are determinants of rape myth avoidance among adolescent girls.
