Tridosha theory is the foundation of Ayurvedic science. One of the three doshas, called Pitta, is very important for digestion and metabolism. There are five different varieties of pitta dosha: Pachaka, Ranjaka, Alochaka, Bhrajaka, and Sadhaka.
