Abstract
This paper examines the reason behind high rate of unemployment in the current market. The general cause of unemployment in India has always been slow economic growth, rapid increase in population, low savings and investment. But due to this pandemic the mobility of labour has played an important role. This paper also talks about labour participation rate (LPR), structural unemployment, regression model. It can also be concluded from the research that most people want jobs in their hometown but the salary and opportunity offered is not that appealing.
