The Smart Glove is primarily intended for interaction between disabled individuals and non-disabled people. Here, disabled refers to deaf and hard-of-hearing people who communicate with one another and with others through sign language. However, because most people are unaware of sign language, communication between the deaf and hard-of-hearing and the general public can be problematic.
