There are number of movements in which Bodo women participated along with their male counterparts in Assam. It may be Brahma movement, Script movement, Bodoland movement, etc. Bodo Women participated in many ways during the Bodoland movement initiated by the ABSU in order to achieve the goals of the Bodos. Therefore, participation and contribution of Bodo women in the Bodoland movement should not be forget to give respect and honour by the society of the Bodos. But so far no research works has been done on these areas. So I hope through my research articles people will come to know the role played by the women folks of the Bodo and thereby give credit for their role and contribution towards the Boboland movement. But when it comes to position and honour in the society, they are always placed in the second line in the raw. They have accepted their services as a service demanded by the society or by the community. There is no chance of development of the society unless the condition of women is improved.
