The present study is an attempt to study the prevalence of depression among footballers. Depression is mental health disorder that is characterized by persistent depressed mood, loss of interest in pleasurable activities resulting in significant impairment of the daily life. The data for the present study was conducted using the 'Beck's depression inventory' and the data was collected online through Google forums. 58 footballers between the age ranges of 18-30 years participated in the study. Results indicate that 24% participants suffered from moderate depression and 38% participants suffered from mild depression.
