  Abstract


Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a novel green solid state joining process. This joining technique is energy efficient, environment friendly, and versatile. The Principle advantages are fine microstructure, low distortion, absence of melt related defects and high joint strength. FSW parameters like tool rotational speed, welding speed and axial force play an important role. In this paper, literature on FSW has been reviewed, the gaps have been identified.
