 Abstract

The Arakan, called as Rakhine now, is an ancient kingdom of Myanmar. Arakan means guarding on race and morality. According to traditional chronicles, historians stated that Arakaness had entered Myanmar from Majjhimadesa of India. They accept themselves as protectors of the race and religion and the strict observers of morality till today. For over a thousand years the region of Arakan has existed as an independent country whose rich history, culture and art is recognized as pure Buddhist country throughout the world. Arakan is the most interesting historical region of Myanmar and possesses rich history, culture and art in Asia. However the region, due to its tough geographical environment, has remained unexplored. The paper aims to examine the history of the region with special emphasis on the rise of Buddhism and Theravada Buddhism. The paper claims that �Theravada Buddhism� originated in Arakan region and then spread to the entire world. It also focuses on the status of Buddhism in Arakan during the regime of different rulers.

 Abstract

Introduction: Adolescent is the period of development between the onset of puberty and adulthood. It usually begins from 10 years and extends up to 19 years (WHO). The high level of female mortality in the age of 15-19 years would suggest maternal mortality among young teenage mothers. To meet the goal of healthy people by 2010 there is need to make adolescent girls aware regarding the healthy lifestyle practices. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of computer based teaching module in terms of gain in knowledge score among adolescent school going girls. Methods: Forty(40)Adolescent school going girls studying in 8thand 9thstandard at M P Birla Foundation of Higher secondary school, Kolkata in 2010 were selected by Non- probability convenience sampling technique. One group pre-test post test design was used to evaluate the effect of computer based module on knowledge level regarding healthy lifestyle practices. Data collection instruments used were Tool I � Demographic proforma , Tool II � Self Structured knowledge questionnaire on healthy lifestyle practices. Results: The obtained pre-test mean score was (18.88) whereas the post-test mean score was (24.28). The calculated �t� value was 10 at 0.05 level of significance, was significant greater than the table value indicating that the computer based teaching module was effective in increasing the knowledge of adolescent school going girls regarding healthy lifestyle practices. Conclusion :The findings of present study concluded that computer based teaching module was effective strategy for improving the knowledge of children�s on healthy lifestyle practices.

 Abstract

The internet is performing an outstanding role in our daily life. People can talk through the internet to anyone in the form of email, can search Information and can buy things online, online shopping refers to the people who follow the process of buying products or services through internet. Meanwhile online shopping has been comprehensively accepted as a way of procuring products and services via the internet. Prominent means of procuring products in the internet world. It also provides consumer enormous information and selection options to compare products and price, some shoppers still feel embarrassed to buy online. Lack of trust seems to be the paramount fact that impedes consumers to buy online. Furthermore, consumers may need to test and feel the products and to convene friends and get some more utterance about the products before purchasing. Such factors may have a pessimistic impact on consumer decision to shop online.

 Abstract

The need in the circumference of human atmosphere causes generation of desire which leads to product according to the situation. Mobile Phones are an advanced mode of verbal and non-verbal communication through advanced technology. People are living across diversified across the globe and there was a need of network which could easily and lastly make them communicate. Communication plays an important path in human life. Mobiles have provided global connectivity between the developed and developing nations in limited space of time. It has removed global communication barrier in a limited period. Mobile phones are available to all people with internet access of 2G, 3G, 4G, in developing and with 5G or 6G in developed countries with different applications like Whats App, hike, Google pay, Google earth, youtube and lot more.  Abstract

The basic objective of any professional programme is to enhance the employment opportunity and make the youth employable. India is a fastest growing economy in the world and emerging as world 5th most preferred destination for investment. In such scenario various multinationals, Indian corporates and new start-ups are coming up to provide employment to youth. As per the industry sources, majority of technical graduates as wells as management graduates are not employable. As per the statistics available at aicte website only 28.76% students out of 3,74,504 were placed . In the present context, researchers take up this topic to identify the key factors for enhancing the employability skill of B-School Graduates. In the present study 135 B-School graduates studying in MBA Programme in Pune at various colleges are considered as sample for present study. Likert scale based questionnaire was distributed among students and data was analyzed. Results indicate that teaching quality, conceptual clarity, communication skill and analytical skills are important factors which are considered by corporates during the selection process.

 Abstract

The government of India took a major economic decision of demonetizing high value currency notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 in . Demonetisation is an act of cancelling the legal tender status of a currency unit in circulation. The first demonetisation was on 12th January 1946, second on 16th January 1978 and the third was on 8th November 2016. The main objective of Demonetization was to remove the black money, corruption and to make the cashless economy .This paper tries to explain the advantages of Demonetization and some disadvantages faced by the citizens of India.

 Abstract

Xenoglossophobia also termed as Foreign Language anxiety is the feeling of uneasiness, worry, nervousness and apprehension experienced in learning or using a second or foreign language. This study is done with the intent of assessing the level of anxiety among first year nursing students and to determine the association of anxiety with other variables. In the present study a non-experimental descriptive research design was adopted. The sample size recruited for the study as participants were n= 51.The tool used to measure Xenoglossophobia was FLCAS (Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale). Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to test the hypothesis. The findings of the study revealed that majority of students had moderate (45%) to severe (52%) fear with only 3% students identified to have mild fear of learning foreign language. This study can be of great help to the educators in understanding their crucial role by promoting a conducive learning environment for students and to promote self-paced learning rather than pressurizing the students for meritorious results.
