Abstract
Bianchi type VIII bulk viscous cosmological model with barotropic equation of state and dark energy is investigated. To achieve a deterministic solution, we assume that the coefficient of shear viscosity( ) is proportional to expansion ( ), which leads to , where and are metric potentials. Also coefficient of bulk viscosity ( ) is assumed proportional to expansion, i.e. , where is constant. Barotropic fluid equation , where ( ) is a constant known as the barotropic index, ( ) is pressure and ( ) is energy density, is taken into consideration to determine cosmological constant ( ). The behavior of the model from physical and geometrical aspects is discussed in detail.
