Abstract
Goods and Service Tax is an iconic Indirect Tax framework intended to assist and improve the economic development of India. It has been one of the most discussed subject area since its initial talks about implementing it in India. The study focuses on the impact of the announcement and implementation of GST in Indian Financial System on selected stocks of NSE and to analyse the sectorial implications in Automobile sector, also testing the semi-strong form of the Indian Stock Market. The efficiency of the market and its reactions provides us a response from the economy. The reactions of the investors is presumed to alter the stock prices.
