Why There Is a Charge
IJCRT is fully open access: nobody pays to read it. Because there is no subscription income, the costs of running the journal are met by a one-time article processing charge paid after a paper has been accepted.
That charge funds editorial handling, similarity screening, the peer review workflow, copy editing and typesetting, DOI registration and metadata deposit on request, permanent hosting of the article, and the certificates and records issued to authors. The alternative model — charging readers — would put the work behind a paywall and reduce the audience for every article the journal publishes.
Charging after acceptance rather than at submission matters: it keeps the editorial decision separate from the payment, so no one can buy their way past peer review.

Fee Structure
One charge per accepted article. It is published here so you can see it before you submit, not after.
| Author category | Publication fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Indian authors | ₹1501 INR | Per accepted article, covering up to 5 authors |
| Foreign authors | $59 USD | Per accepted article, covering up to 5 authors. Bank and currency conversion charges are levied separately by your bank |
| Number of authors | Up to 5 authors included | A maximum of 5 authors is covered by the publication fee. Each additional author after the 5th is charged extra: ₹500 per additional author |
| When payable | After acceptance only | Nothing is payable at submission or during review |
Services on request
These are not needed to publish. Each is provided only if you ask for it, after acceptance:
- Crossref DOIOn request
- Hard copy of certificateOn request
- Hard copy of journalOn request
- Plagiarism reportOn request
- Transparent peer review reportOn request
What you will pay — by number of authors
The publication fee covers up to 5 authors. Each author after the 5th adds ₹500. For Indian authors, that means:
One fee per accepted article
Payable only after your paper has been accepted by peer review. Paying cannot cause acceptance, and nothing is due at submission or during review.
- After acceptance only — never at submission
- Up to 5 authors covered by the one fee
- ₹500 for each author after the 5th
- Receipt issued for every payment
Included: publication (online, open access) · typesetting · soft copy of certificate · confirmation letter · acceptance letter (PDF, by email)
Before payment, obtain written confirmation of the total from the editorial office, including any applicable tax and any optional extras you have requested. The figure quoted here should match what the submission portal and your acceptance email say — if the three ever differ, ask before paying.

- Quote your paper IDIn the payment reference, so the payment is matched to your manuscript
- Send the confirmationTo the editorial office, with your paper ID in the subject line
Pay safely online — after acceptance
Use only the official ijcrt.org payment pages or the channels named in your acceptance email, and quote your paper ID so the payment is matched to your manuscript.
Receipts and Invoices
A receipt is issued for every payment received. If your institution requires an invoice in a particular format, or addressed to a department or funding body rather than to you personally, request it before paying and supply the exact billing details needed — reissuing an invoice after the fact is slower and sometimes not possible.
Keep the receipt with your paper ID and the published DOI; together they form the complete record of the publication for institutional reporting.
Waivers and Concessions
Where a waiver or concession policy applies, eligibility, the evidence required and the deadline for requesting it are confirmed by the editorial office. Any request must be made before payment; it cannot be applied retrospectively.
A waiver request is handled separately from the editorial decision and has no bearing on whether a paper is accepted.
Refund Position
IJCRT charges the publication fee only after acceptance — nothing is payable at submission or during review. Once a paper has been accepted and the fee has been paid, the publication fee is not refundable, because the editorial, review and publication work it pays for has already been carried out. The full terms are in the Refund Policy.
Where a payment is duplicated, made in error, or made for an article that is subsequently not published by the journal, contact the editorial office with the paper ID and the payment reference so it can be examined on its facts.
