Join the IJCRT Editorial Board & Reviewer Panel
Peer review is what makes a journal trustworthy, and it depends on researchers who give their expertise to it. IJCRT invites qualified researchers, faculty members and subject specialists from every country to help assess the work submitted to a monthly, open access, multidisciplinary journal published since 2013.
Voluntary service: these are honorary positions — IJCRT does not pay any remuneration for editorial or reviewing work.

Transparent, double-blind peer review
Where You Fit in the Review
Every research paper at IJCRT goes through transparent, double-blind peer review. While a paper is reviewed, identities are hidden in both directions, so editors and reviewers judge only the work. Once it is published, the review is recorded so anyone can check that it really took place. The diagram shows each step and who carries it out.
Double-blind
You do not see who wrote the paper, and the authors do not see who reviewed it.
- Similarity already checked (below 15%)
- Judge the work, not the people
- Keep the manuscript confidential
Transparent
The review is recorded, so anyone can check that it really took place.
- Review record on Scholar9
- Public reviewer list
- Formal report on request
Roles & responsibilities
What We Ask of Editors and Reviewers
Editor responsibilities
- Check each assigned manuscript for scope, completeness and the similarity report before review.
- Invite two to three independent reviewers with relevant expertise and no conflict of interest.
- Keep the review moving: follow up on late reports and replace unresponsive reviewers.
- Read every report critically and recommend accept, revision or rejection, with reasons the author can act on.
- Make sure reviewer comments and the decision are shared with the author — the basis of transparent peer review.
- Step aside from any manuscript where you have a direct or indirect conflict of interest.
- Treat all submissions equally, whatever the authors’ nationality, institution or background.
- Raise suspected plagiarism, data manipulation or other misconduct with the editorial office, following COPE guidance.
Reviewer responsibilities
- Accept or decline each review invitation within 48 hours.
- Complete the review within the agreed timeline, typically 5–7 working days.
- Give objective, specific and constructive feedback on originality, method, results, clarity and references.
- Keep every manuscript strictly confidential and never share it.
- Disclose any conflict of interest and decline the review if one exists.
- Never retain, copy or cite an unpublished manuscript you have reviewed.
- Never contact the authors directly, during or after the review.
- Judge the work, not the people — respectful tone, no personal criticism.

Reviewers for Every Language
IJCRT is multilingual: alongside English, it accepts papers in all Indian (local) languages and in foreign languages, once the editorial office has confirmed that a language editor and reviewers are available. If you can edit or review research in a language other than English, name the language in your application — you help authors publish in the language their work was done in.

FAQ
Questions About Joining
Are editorial board and reviewer positions paid?
No. Both are honorary, voluntary positions. IJCRT does not pay any remuneration, honorarium or fee for editorial or reviewing work. Members take part to serve their discipline and the integrity of the scholarly record.
Who can apply to become an IJCRT reviewer?
Researchers with a PhD or equivalent research experience in their subject. Applicants from every country and every discipline are welcome, because IJCRT is a multidisciplinary journal covering all subjects.
How do I apply to join the editorial board?
Fill in the joining form at joinreviewer.php with your qualification, designation, institution and research field. To be considered for the editorial board, also email editor@ijcrt.org with your CV and the subject areas you can handle.
How much time does reviewing take?
Reviewers accept or decline an invitation within 48 hours and usually complete a review in 5–7 working days. You can decline any invitation that falls outside your expertise or availability.
Do reviewers receive a certificate?
Yes. Active reviewers receive a digital certificate of appreciation, and your name appears on the certificate exactly as you enter it in the joining form.
Will authors know who reviewed their paper?
No. IJCRT uses transparent, double-blind peer review: author and reviewer identities are concealed from each other while the paper is reviewed. After publication the review is recorded on Scholar9. Members of the reviewer panel are listed publicly, but not linked to individual papers.
Can I review papers in Indian or foreign languages?
Yes, and you are encouraged to. IJCRT accepts papers in English, in all Indian (local) languages and in foreign languages. Name the languages you can review in when you apply, so the editorial office can invite you for papers in those languages.
Can I be removed from the panel?
Yes. Reviewers who repeatedly miss deadlines, provide inadequate reviews or breach confidentiality are removed, and recognition can be withdrawn for misconduct.
