Matthew Gregory Lewiss The Monk is a quintessential novel within the Gothic genre. It relies on traditional male and female gender roles and then obscures and deconstructs those gender roles in order to facilitate the idea of horror. During this time period, a traditional female gender role would be filled by a passive, weak, subservient, and sexually reactive woman. Matthew Lewis revolutionizes Gothic literature by crafting powerful women characters that deviate from traditional female gender roles. Although readers often address gender in discussions of The Monk, the issue of how Lewis empowers women characters who exhibit traditionally masculine characteristics has not been fully dealt with. My analysis of Lewiss gender defying characters focuses on three important women from the novel: Marguerite, the Bleeding Nun, and the primary villain, Matilda. Each of these characters plays a different role in The Monk, but they are similar in that they all achieve their ultimate goals by adopting traditionally masculine traits. It is showed how these women achieve their remarkably different goals by ignoring the societal constraints of their gender and leaving behind the traditional ideals of feminine virtue. By presenting female characters in The Monk who ultimately achieve their desires through traditionally masculine actions, Matthew Lewis creates a space for women characters to explore gender deviance within Gothic literature.

It lies to the north of the trunk river Ganga which cris crosses the central part of Bihar in easterly direction. This plain is covered by immense expanses of unconsolidated sediments and therefore, remained neglected for long by the geologist who directed most of their energies to solid rocks. It is only in the recent years that the nature of the thick pile of the quaternary deposits that make up the plains, the type and affinities of the basement beneath them and their tectonics have started to be unravelled with the advent of sophisticated geophysical techniques and deep drilling carried out mainly to meet the needs of the prospecting for hydro carbons. The Indo-Gangetic trough part of North Bihar is asymmetrical due to subsidence of five kilometres during the plio-pleistocene times to the north of the trough and very little to the south. As the subsidence was active in the trough very rapid uplift was going on immediately to the north. According to Ramachandran Rao (1973) the Indo-Gangetic depression is divisible from east to west into five units of which one of them is the Ganga plain in Bihar

Philosophy, in every generation reflects its relevant teaching for the special group of people. Being the philosophers Plato and Aristotle both have contributed enormously in the development of social and political philosophy. In spite of the distinctive aspect of the contemporary situation, and although ancient political philosophies were conveyed under very different environments, their study still illuminates vital questions today. Aristotle was the follower of Plato, but both differ in their technique of exploration. Aristotles Treaties and Platos Dialogue are differing in more than one way.

Modern society is developing into a network society in which a growing number of problems emerge that seem impossible to solve with traditional approaches and instruments or through existing institutions (Rotmans et al. 2001). The process of modernization in the industrialized world has produced these symptoms of unsustainability as a side-effect of economic development, technological progress and the continuing increase in wealth. Examples of these unsustainability symptoms on a global scale are the over-consumption of natural resources, social and economic inequalities, loss of biodiversity and climate change problems.

This paper deals with foreign interests and their organizations and implements that can be prosecuted only with prior written approval of the government of India in compliance with Indian Code of Civil Procedure. Such permission might not have been appropriate, however, if the matter is subject to a special legislation. In the paper, a ruling from the Bombay State High Court v Czechoslovak Airlines I977 describes more regarding the reaching implications of an Indian court granting diplomatic immunity in international exchange proceedings. The Court decided that the privilege cannot be argued despite the fact that the petitioner airline was a diplomatic agency because the interests and operations of that airliner were of a strictly commercial interest after acknowledging the global movement towards reduced immunity. This paper ends by saying that India is part of the treaty to the United Nations Convention on rights and privileges, I946 and also has adopted the rights and privileges provided there by the United Nations Act I947 (UN Privilege Act). In compliance with section 3 of this Act, the Government can apply to other foreignorganizations even for the diplomatic immunities and privileges given under the Act.

Mathematical sciences developed well in the Asian countries mainly in India, China & Arabian Peninsula during the period from 4th century to 12th century AD. Within this period, a galaxy of mathematicians & astronomers flourished in India who left their indelible mark on the history of Mathematical world. The most celebrated among them was Brahmagupta (598-669AD). His Sanskrit text Brahmasphuta-Siddhanta (628AD) greatly influenced the development of Mathematics and Astronomy not only in India but in the whole world. Brahmasphuta Siddhanta was translated into Arabic in 771AD by Arabian scholar AL-FAZARI under the title SINDHIND-AL-KABIR (the great Siddhanta) by the order of Bagdad Caliph Al-Mansur. This translation of Brahmaguptas text opened the doors of study & development of Mathematics & Astronomy in Arabian regions and then transmitted to western world. In Brahmasphuta-Siddhanta, Brahmagupta gave some results which are considered unitue throughout the world. He gave formulae for sum to n- terms in A.P. Areas of prism, Cones, Pyramids, Cyclic quadrilateral etc. He also gave rules for operating with zero and infinity. His method of solving linear-indeterminate-equations is almost similar to the present day method. Brahmaguptas method of interpolation of sines of intermediate angles is equivalent to the Newton-Stirling Formula upto second order differences. In the present paper, we have made efforts to high-light some salient features of the great Sanskrit text of Brahmagupta and have tried to prove that methods & formulae given by Brahmagupta in 628AD are, to some extent, similar and equivalent to the modern & formulae and are useful even today.

Post modernism in Indian English Literature Refers to the works of literature after 1980. If Raja Raos Kanthapura (1938) Marks Modernism, Salman Rushdies Midnight Children (1981) And Nissim Ezekiels Latter-Day Psalms (1982). Chetan Bhagat is an icon of new India and he has an enduring name in the ground of postmodern fiction. He has opened the floodgates for a new movement of Postmodernism in Indian Writing in English. His name doesnt grace any awards list, but he is familiar to every college student in India. While the global literary dwell on the fiction of Indias past, Chetan Bhagat has become Indias well known writer by embracing the present. He manages to retain his sense of humor even though the topics that is actually harsh realities of life. His writing has revolutionized and mirrored the postmodern literature. According to him, the purpose of literature is to showcase the society. This paper show cases and justifies how Chetan Bhagat is considered to be the postmodernist writer which is clearly documented by his own works.

This article discusses the subject of diplomats that is draws from the French word "diplomate," which refers to an individual whose role is to communicate on behalf of the country. Diplomats have both domestic and international status. The early history of the Middle Eastern area, the Mediterranean region, India and China has been known to have diplomatic negotiation. The principle of diplomatic status is considered to be the foundation of foreign law, as well as the customary laws of sovereign immunity are as ancient as diplomacy itself. This illustrates the foreign law, which is not inherently separate from domestic law. Human rights should be protected first and foremost by avoiding their abuses, punishing the violators adequately and ensuring a suitable solution. It is also important, as important as grappling with infringements, to recognize systemic barriers to justice. Since diplomatic immunity covers accredited entities from domestic authority, the expected implementation of the oppressive legal order is essentially interfered with. This essay describes the tension concerning human rights as well as diplomatic immunity through qualitative study.
