IC engines are so advanced that their speed becomes a major disaster. The advanced braking system improves braking techniques in cars. It replaces complete braking systems for cars and deals with the concept of Automatic Braking System that provides a solution. The project is built with an ultrasonic transmitter, ultrasonic receiver, Arduino UNO R3 board with PIC microcontroller, DC gear motor, Servomotor, and mechanical brake arrangement. The ultrasonic sensor produces a frequency signal (0.020-20) KHZ. It is transmitted via an ultrasonic transmitter. The ultrasonic receiver is used to receive the pre-displayed wavelength of the vehicle. Then the reflected waves are fed to the generator unit of the ultrasonic wave, where the incoming wave is amplified and compared to the reference signals to maintain a constant rate. This signal is supplied to a microcontroller, and when operating a DC gear motor and Servomotor may be present, leading to the use of brakes. The model was designed to demonstrate expertise and was tested according to the simulated scenarios. In the future, a real model can be built depending on its availability.

This proposed methodology is derived for automatic fuel level measurement by smart device. The discovery of automobile vehicles is a blessing to human beings from engineering and science. The majority of the transport fuels are powered by traditional fuels like gasoline, octane, diesel etc. The price of these transport fuels are also increasing. The objective of this project is to describe the automatic prevention of fuel theft by the drivers and also we are going to bring solution for how accurately the petrol bunk is filling the fuel for your vehicles. The advantage of our project is we also done with fuel indication system. Whenever liquid level goes high or low it will indicate by an alarm signal. When the flow rate or fuel consumption rate becomes more than usual rate the fuel level falls drastically then the sensor is activated and sends a signal. After receiving the signal the GSM module sends a message to a specific number by indicating something unusual. It is also been found that it is low cost technology and it can also be implemented in all the vehicles.

The design is the initial activity of a series of product manufacturing processes. The design is considered one of the most important parts to produce a complete and comprehensive manufacturing product. The ability to design and then realize in real products is an advantage, both for designers and manufacturing industries that produce the design of Automatic measuring machine of mass and dimension is a machine that can take information in the form of mass and dimensions of an object in the usual form. This machine is the development of a device called Machine Vision. Machine vision is a machine consisting of hardware and software. This is set to be able to retrieve information from digital images or images automatically, which is used for quality control. Machine vision is very dependent on sensors and cameras. Laser light is used as a sensor which has the task of mapping measurement objects while the camera serves to capture light waves produced by lasers on measuring objects so that the camera takes pictures to take dimensional data from the measuring object in a one-meter unit. The development of machine vision in question is the addition of a mass meter to this system. Mass measuring instrument using a digital weigher in the form of a load cell. A load cell is a sensor designed to detect the pressure or weight of a load, measurements made by load cells use the principle of pressure. The working principle of an automatic measuring machine of mass and dimensions is a measurement object that is placed at the base of the object where the load cell is placed to obtain mass data, along with the laser source and the camera move together for dimensional data retrieval. After getting all the desired data, the measured measurement object is moved to a storage area with a previously designed driving system.

Over the past years automation has impacted a wide range of industries beyond manufacturing through the reduction of production time, improved system performance and process control. Recently Zimbabwe has seen a rise of small scale producers of liquid products which include detergents, liquid soaps, fruit juices, milk products and bottled water. Manual filling methods being used are resulting in low production outputs and losses through spillages. The procurement of state of art bottling systems is cost prohibitive as most systems are designed for large scale industries. This paper describes the design of a low cost flexible automated bottle filling machine capable of filling two different volumes. The machine was designed according to the VDI 2206 guidelines for mechatronic systems design. Modelling and simulation was used to determine the most suitable material, transfer system and filling mechanisms for the machine. A conveyor based transfer system was developed coupled to a filling unit which fills four bottles at a time. Developed control algorithms were implemented on an Arduino Due microcontroller platform. System integration resulted in a physical prototype being produced. Tests were carried out on the designed machine validating the functionality of the machine. The designed machine could fill 600 bottles in an hour.

Headlamp glare is an issue that has grown in terms of public awareness over the past decade. High beam of headlight of an on-coming car has blinding effect and decreases visibility during night driving dangerously. The drivers of most vehicles use high, bright beam while driving at night. This causes a discomfort to the person traveling from the opposite direction. He experiences a sudden glare for a short period of time. This is caused due to the high intense headlight beam from the other vehicle coming towards him from the opposite direction. We are expected to dim the headlight to avoid this glare. This glare causes a temporary blindness to a person resulting in road accidents during the night. This model concept eliminates the requirement of manual switch by the driver which is not done at all time. This concept very useful in the automobile field applications, which provides safety of driver during night driving. The construction, working, advantages & future scope of the system is discussed detail in this paper.

A quick return system converts rotating motion into reciprocating motion. It consists of two different velocities for its strokes for example working and return. This mechanism is used in machines, for example, shapers and power-driven saws for giving the reciprocating cutting tool a slow cutting stroke and a quick return stroke with a constant angular velocity of the driving crank. Crank and slotted lever mechanism is one of the famous mechanisms for quick return motion to obtain reciprocating motion.

This project work titled" INVOLUTE GEAR PROFILE ERROR DETECTOR BY USING DIAL GAUGE "The aim of the project is to check the error detection by applying the basic principle of involute generation. Usually when the gears have any defects it produces more vibration. In order to rectify the vibration we have planned to design and fabricate the involute gear profile error detector. The main part of the involute gear profile error detector is the base circle disc in which the gear is mounted. The gear is locked by means of locking arrangement which has a shaft and it is coupled to the bearings. The whole locking arrangement is coupled by means of a locking screw arrangement called locking handle which can be able to rotate manually. It consists of the actuating rod which is situated between the baseplate and locking arrangement. The function of the actuating rod to hold the base plate tightly. In this project spur gears are designed. The program is a user friendly one and when executed it is ask the inputs and performs the necessary design calculation and gives necessary output values. It also gives the gear tooth profile with accurate safe dimensions.

An automatic brake system for a vehicle consists of an electric motor, related to the motor for transmission motion from the motor to a brake lever that pushes the restraint. This project provides a brand new idea style of the EMPB (electro mechanical parking brakes) system that has straightforward and cheap characteristics. This project deals with coming up with and fabrication of EMPB system. Mechanical device hand brake system conjointly remarked as brake by-wire, replace typical parking braking systems with a totally electrical part system. This happens by replacement typical linkages with electrical motor-driven units. The braking force is generated directly at every wheel by high performance electrical motors and automobile management, that area unit controlled by an ECU. The electronic hand brake replaces the traditional handbrake. It's operated by a switch within the center console. The mechanical device hand brake provides the subsequent edges over the traditional handbrake: easy use-the hand brake is applied totally no matter the strength of the driving force. Safety- the electrical hand brake applies mechanically once the key is off from the ignition.

The handling of abstract materials and mechanisms to pick and place are widely found in factory automation and industrial manufacturing. There are different mechanical grippers which are based on different motor technologies have been designed and employed in numerous applications. The designed robotic gripper in this paper is a two jaw actuated gripper which is different from the conventional cam and follower gripper in the way that controlled movement of the jaws is done with the help of pneumatic cylinders using air pressure. The force developed in the cylinder is very gentle and is directly delivered to the jaws in a compact way. The design, analysis and fabrication of the gripper model are explained in details along with the detailed list of all existing pneumatic grippers in market. The force and torque for the gripper have been calculated for different set of conditions. The working of the model is checked for and observation for pay load is recorded at various pressures. The highly dynamic and highly accelerated gripper model can be easily set at intermediate positions by regulating the pressure. Pneumatic grippers are very easy to handle and are generally cost- effective because air hoses, valves and other pneumatic devices are easy to maintain.
