 Abstract

Women empowerment means giving them the freedom or power to live as they wish. It allows them to identify their skills, knowledge and abilities to make their own decisions. Women empowerment is essential for the socio-economic development of any society. Women empowerment is an important topic currently. It inspires women to be aware of their rights and duties. Skill development is an important medium to bring self-confidence and self-reliance among women. Skill development is a powerful means of women empowerment which improves productivity, employability and earning opportunities. It is the bridge between the job and the workforce. Today it is considered an important and indispensable tool for women empowerment. Indian women face the most barriers to accessing skills and productive employment. A major effort is required to prepare a skilled workforce for economic prosperity. In developing countries like India, where problems like low rate of participation in work force and gender inequality still exist, women skill development will definitely solve this problem. Therefore, the Central Government has started many schemes for the skill development of women. In this context, this article throws light on the roles and effects of skill development in women's empowerment.

 Abstract

Due to increase in demand of petroleum products, the prices of petrol and diesel are increasing all over the world. As the available resources of fossil fuel are depleting at faster rate and by 2025 ,the world may face a severe crisis of petroleum fuels, hence an alternative sources of energy to replace fossil fuels are being explored worldwide. Biodiesel is one of the promising biofuels and an alternative for fossil fuels as a primary energy source for machineries and vehicles. It is defined as the mono alkyl ester of vegetables oils or animal fats. Due to its technical feasibility and nonpolluting characteristics, biodiesel is gaining acceptance in steadily growing numbers of countries around the world. Biodiesel is biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics. In this work, experimental investigation has been carried out to produce methyl ester fuels based on non-edible oils like castor oil by using different catalysts like NaOH and H2SO4. The parameters such as temperature, residence time has significant effect on yield of biodiesel and physical properties like Viscosity, Specific gravity, Acid value. In this research the effect of acid and base catalysts was studied on yield of biodiesel and physical properties like viscosity, Specific gravity, Acid value

 Abstract

From ancient times, domestic violence has become one of the most dangerous issues not only in India but throughout the world. Domestic violence is such an abusive activity which basically affects the weaker section of human kind. In patriarchal society as women are considered to be more vulnerable and subservient, they are the worst sufferer of it. Now-a-days they are always facing physical and emotional violence by their family members and intimate partners who have an inclination to keep them under control. The present paper is an attempt to study how A.K. Ramanujan addresses the issue of domestic violence against Indian women in his short story "A Flowering Tree". This paper also strives to highlight how domestic violence easily victimizes the women and reduces their status as an ignored object in our patriarchal society. Apart from it, the paper investigates the theme of alterity through the exploration of transformation and the status of women in Indian society.

 Abstract

The present study has been undertaken to assess the nature, extent, pattern and determinants of migration in Himachal Pradesh. For this purpose, two districts i.e. Lahul & Spiti (tribal region) and Una (non-tribal region) out of twelve districts in Himachal Pradesh have been selected. A total sample comprises 200 households from both tribal and non-tribal regions. Overall, 21.5 percent of persons are migrants, with significant tribal & non-tribal, rural-urban and male-female differentials. Out of total migration in tribal region and rural areas of non-tribal region, proportion of out-migrants is higher as compared to those of in-migrants and return-migrants. Whereas in urban areas of non-tribal region, the percentage of out-migrants is lower than in-migrants. Migration is dominated by person age 15-29 years group as compared to other age groups. Migration among unmarried population has been higher as compared to married one. In both regions and rural-urban areas of non-tribal region, the proportion of migrants with educational level 'secondary and higher secondary' is the highest compared to other educational level groups. Rural to urban migration has been the most dominant migration stream, of the total internal migration, followed by rural to rural. The reason for migration for the migrants in tribal region has been dominated by education attainment, whereas employment has been the main reason for migration in non-tribal region.

Title: Effect of Modified Pursed Lip Breathing in Pneumonatic Children Dev K.1, Naveen2 1.Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, GJUS&T, Hisar 2.MPT, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar Abstract Pursed lip breathing exercise help in increasing alveolar expansion in restrictive lung diseases. Pneumonia is one of the intrinsic restrictive lung diseases seen in children. So, here in this study restrictive lung diseases has been taken as it commonly affects the children. Pursed lip breathing exercise may help in increasing alveolar pressure & decreasing the secretions, which helps in improving the growth & ADL's in children. The aim of the study is to find the effect of modified pursed lip breathing by blowing into a water-filled bottle through a straw in pneumonatic children. Study design: Quasi experimental design, purposive sampling was done. Sample of 12 (8 males and 4 females) pneumonatic children have been taken from various hospitals in Hisar. All the participants received the intervention in rest time, one time a day, for one week. Intervention was given when the participant's medical conditions was stable & confirmed by the medical doctor. The modified pursed lip breathing exercise (in bottle which is filled with water by straw) was performed four times a minute for ten minutes. All the outcomes (Respiratory rate, Oxygen saturation, Heart rate/Pulse rate) were measured at baseline, then after one week of intervention. The pre and post intervention statistical data compared by using paired T test. Analysis was done for 12 patient, physical characteristics of data of the patient's include respiratory rate, heart rate, oxygen saturation. Male and female statistical data are compared by using the simple T test for different physical characteristics (respiratory rate, heart rate, oxygen saturation), and to test any statistical difference was set at p<0.05 and the valve of confidence was set at 95%. The result of the study indicates that modified PLB blowing into a water filled bottle through a straw decrease RR, HR, improve oxygen saturation. Based on this study we believe that modified pursed lip breathing exercise can be used as an adjective treatment for obstructive and restrictive pulmonary disease to improve oxygen saturation decrease RR, HR. Conclusion: This study concluded that modified pursed lip breathing exercise can be used as an adjacent with other traditional treatment for obstructive and restrictive pulmonary disease.

 Abstract

Hemicyanine dyes are a sub class of polymethine colorants. At one end of their polymethine chain an unsaturated heterocyclic ring possessing a nitrogen atom as would be found in a cyanine dye. However, the other end is terminated by a nitrogen atom that does not form part of an unsaturated heterocycle. The name alludes to their half-cyanine substitution pattern. Later the scope of the term "hemicyanine" was extended to the phenylogous dyes where there is a phenyl group between the two terminal nitrogen atoms. The first main technical application of hemicyanine dyes was in textile coloration. Now a days hemicyanine dyes are used extensively as optical probes of cell membrane potential. The compound 3-ethyl-2-methylbenzothiazolium iodide and 3'-chlorophenyl-4-dimethylaminostyryl ketone were dissolved in absolute alcohol together with basic catalyst piperidine. The mixture was refluxed for about 6 hrs. Connected with CaCl2 guard tube and subjected to overnight cooling. The dye obtained was recrystallised from methanol as dark brown sandy crystals.

 Abstract

Creativity is the ability which is most valued in all societies. Synectics model of teaching is one such approach which seems to have the genuine potentiality for enhancing creativity of the learners as it provides them the scope to participate in various metaphorical activities - the key to creative thinking ability through which they can be given opportunity to think critically and divergently. Synectics brings out creativity of the students. It is a very sophisticated technique for stimulating creativity. Gordon and his associates successfully employed it in finding solutions to a number of intractable technical problems. The present study reveals and observed that experimental group performance in respect of Test of Story Construction, Test of Poetic diction and Test of vocabulary test is significantly higher than control group performance.

 Abstract

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how, despite the machine tool industry's recent exponential growth in production capabilities, machine tools are still being used to their full potential. This restriction arises from the failure to operate the machine tools under ideal conditions. For a very long time, researchers and practical engineers have been interested in the subject of determining the ideal operating parameter levels. Metal matrix composites are being used more frequently as industrial materials, however since the reinforcements are so hard and abrasive, MMC is very challenging to machine. The MMC is machined as the reinforcement particles are broken and dragged out of the matrix, which results in decreased product surface quality, tool flank wear, and higher machining costs. Additionally, early tool failure increases production time and costs by necessitating frequent tool changes. This method has been suggested by Litak as a way to test the effectiveness of the ripping machine and as a way to keep track of the condition of the tools. Investigating the effects of various machining process factors was the paper's main goal in order to improve the quality of the machined products. The use of the Grey relation, Desirability function, Genetic Algorithm, and Fuzzy logic for multi-response optimization were found to be widely employed, according to a thorough assessment of the literature on the optimization of machining parameters. As a result, it was also attempted through this research project, and the aforementioned techniques were assessed in order to achieve the goal of choosing the proper process parameters for drilling the Al-SiC MMCs.

 Abstract

In the present paper we study that in addition to being in complete agreement with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations, ancient India's human rights also serve as a model for contemporary thought in the region. "Nobody is superior or inferior," states the Rig Veda. All of them are brothers. Working together for the common good and progress should be the goal of everyone. According to Article 15, everyone is entitled to a nationality. According to Article 16, the family is entitled to protection from society and the state because it is the natural and fundamental group unit of society. No one shall be denied the right to alter or lose their nationality at random. In ancient India, the individual also existed as a state citizen with rights and responsibilities. The Vedas proclaim freedom of body (Tan), dwelling house (Skridhi), and life (Jibase), which was the ideal of ancient Indian legal theory. Human rights were thought of and practiced in ancient India, according to the study above. Inscriptions, coins, and contemporary art and architecture all show how human rights have been implicitly expressed in the Bible. The Dharmastras and Grihastra, which define one's relationship with others, society, and the state, and vice versa, outline the Hindu way of life. In addition, they establish certain standards, obligations, and rights. The sixteen samskaras, which contain every contradiction and aberration, govern every Indian's life from birth to death. For instance, the marriage samskara establishes a couple's relationship and defines their rights and responsibilities toward one another and society as a whole. The forfeiture of Istrdhana's marriage-related propriety rights has been accepted by Kautilya, Manu, and others.
