 Abstract

ABSTRACT: Now a days, people are more concerned with the environment change. Hence, they prefer environment friendly products. The present study is based on the behavior of consumers towards green products. To study this, a primary data set is taken. The data is collected through a questionnaire and the response of consumers of green product is collected to know their preference over the green products. The data is analysed in detail to describe the various statistical methods. The techniques used here are explained in detail. It is required to know the basics of the calculations if one wants to use these tools. From the data it is found that the consumers preference does depend on many parameters. The tabular and graphical presentation of the data is employed to give the clear picture of the responses. The relationship between two parameters responsible for the preferences of people over green marketing is shown by contingency tables and appropriate hypothesis tests are used to study the relationship between variables. A detailed discussion is done in the paper.

On Road Vehicle Breakdown Application (ORVBA) is going to be a good solution for the people who seek help in the remote locations with mechanical issues of their vehicle. Users of the On Road Vehicle Breakdown Application will be the registered public and they will be getting connected with the particular mechanic through the trustworthy application system. Because only the legally licensed and approved mechanics are enlisted in the On Road Vehicle Breakdown Application (ORVBA) system. In an existing system there are users who have their own mechanic database which is very minimal. And also they have no idea if their vehicles are broke down or had any mechanical issue in remote locations or any long distant locations from their known mechanic shops. In an proposed Here the users of On Road Vehicle Breakdown Application (ORVBA) system can search for list of mechanic at any location or the nearby locations which will help them in an unexpected situations raised by the mechanical issues of their vehicles.

 Abstract

for the last few years, text mining has been evolving and gathering revealing importance. The number of text documents in digital form is increasing and available to users through variety of sources like e-media, digital media and many more. Due to vast availability of text, a lot of unstructured data has been collected and converted into defined structured data. This process is known as text classification. High dimensionality of feature space is one of the problems in text classification. This is solved by feature selection and feature extraction methods and improves the performance of text classification. The feature extraction techniques remove the irrelevant and useless features from the text documents and reduce the dimensionality of feature space. This paper proposed a system for feature extraction and classification of text data. First features of text are extracted and then classified by classifier. The proposed solution is based on semi supervised learning. Datasets used for training and testing will be obtained from user feedback from different web sites. The results show that the proposed feature extraction and classification approach is simple, computationally tractable, and achieves low error rates.

 Abstract

This is a coin based flexible charging structure that charges the convenient for a particular proportion of time on expansion of coin. The structure can be used by retailers and open spots like railroad stations, etc., to give compact charging office. Thusly, the system involves a coin affirmation module that sees the inserted coin and a while later shows the scaled down scale controller for extra action. By then the controller starts the convenient charging framework giving deftly through sun arranged board to a hand-off contact the to the PDA. The objective of this errand is embeddings the coin and charging the mobile phone. This endeavor is extraordinarily significant to the people who are generally using PDA without charging office out in the open spots. A sensor system is used to perceive the closeness of coin that is arranged using IR sensor. The coin is implanted between the IR transmitter and recipient. Exactly when the IR signal is thwarted by the coin, the IR sensor offers a basis hint to the controller by which the controller orders the charging unit by giving deftly (ie. from sun based load up) for a predefined time (60sec). After that it will be confined. If another coin is inserted, the time term will be extended normally. The driver circuit is arranged using hand-off to give the deftly to the charger to charge the compact.

 Abstract

Steel-concrete composite columns are used widely in modern buildings. Extensive research on steel concrete composite columns in which structural steel sections are encased in concrete have been carried out. In-filled composite columns, however have received limited attention compared to encased columns. This paper includes the review done on steel columns in which concrete are in-filled. Wire mesh is welded on the inside surface of steel column to increase the bond between steel and concrete. Three composite columns (short columns) are compared with three RC columns of same size. Ultimate strength, ductility, energy absorption capacity and stiffness of columns are noted. It is observed that composite columns show better structural behavior than RC columns.

 Abstract

Food allergy (FA) is one of the most common health problems worldwide and immunologically it has many aspects to be studied. Mechanism of Tolerance and Sensitization against food antigens are the main factors studied under the immunological basis of allergy. A better understanding of these responses is vital for development of new therapies. In this review, we have focused on the prominent types of FA and its immunological mechanisms along with a statistical comparison of these allergies. Most of the types of food allergies are IgE mediated and is also the main cause of anaphylaxis, diagnosis of which is by careful analysis of history and diagnostic tests, such as skin prick tests, serum-specific IgE and, if indicated, an oral food challenge. Once the allergen is identified, strict elimination of the offending food allergens from the diet is necessary, followed by identification of cross reactive food materials. This report emphasis on allergens from peanut, wheat, cow milk, soy, egg and shellfish; and their pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management.

 Abstract

Buddhism is a way of life. It is beyond philosophy, religion, psychology, metaphysics. It is based on cause and effect. It is time-tested, universal and priceless doctrines available even today to test and accept. Buddhism is not based on belief and faith and is based on ones own understanding and experience. The individuals in the world are bothered by impurities of mind. All inherent problems are because of defilements in the mind. This paper is based on survey and empirical research conducted in Bangalore and Myanmar. The total sample size of respondents was 461 consisting of Buddhist monks, nuns, lay-men and women devotees in Dhamma dispensation. The impact is elicited before and after practicing of Three Fold Training by the sample respondents. Gauthama Buddha through his discoveries has given to the mankind the four noble truths and the noble eight fold path. The three fold training is for purifying beings through practical approach of practicing five moral precepts, concentration and wisdom. It is a gradual process and a step-by step process to deliver the mind from defilements, craving and ignorance. The paper traces out how three fold training metamorphosed the practitioners under the study into positive cultivation of mind and eradicating and conquering their defilements to a great extent. The study was conducted in Bangalore and Myanmar. In the aftermath of three fold training, the participants personal excellence, inter-personal relation excellence and professional excellence have increased. Their social transactions are very calm, quiet and beneficial on account of undergoing Buddhas three fold training in morality, concentration and wisdom.

 Abstract

Every wheelchair is manually operated to move in and around. However, a smart wheelchair brings independence and effortlessness to a person. A Smart Wheel Chair is mechanically controlled devices designed to have self-mobility with the help of the user command using head/hand effortlessly. This reduces the users effort to drive the wheels of the wheelchair. Furthermore, this provides an opportunity for visually or physically impaired persons to move from one place to another. Even though a persons the body is fully or partially paralyzed only his head/hand movement will help the wheelchair to move front, back, left, right. There is wireless communication between the human and the wheelchair. The equipment is kept on his head/ in his hand which detects the movement of the person. If the device finds the swing of the head front then the chair moves forward automatically. The procedure is similar to the other directions such as left, right, backward. If the head is still without any swing then it is considered as a stop. The operation of the experimental model of our device is based on pairing the Bluetooth of the mobile to the Bluetooth module placed in the wheelchair. The Arduino blue control app acts as an intermediate to find the movement of the human and the Arduino uno helps in assisting the Bluetooth and wheels movement according to the code. The L-298 in between the Arduino and wheels helps in converting the voltage that is required for wheels movement.

 Abstract

The term abstract signifies a brief, objective representation of the contents of a primary document or an oral presentation. An abstract is usually the last section written by the authors, but it is the first section of the paper that is read by the editors and reviewers. The abstract should highlight the selling point of the research work and should lure the readers to read the whole paper. The abstract should be clear, i.e., readable, well organized, and not too jargon-laden. The fundamental purpose of the abstract is to inform the reader succinctly what the paper is about, why and how the research was carried out, and what conclusions could be drawn. This conceptual paper delineates the anatomy of effective abstracts viz, title, authorship, types of abstracts and key words in addition to the style, formats and linguistic components of abstracts with lucid examples.

 Abstract

Hand gesture recognition provides an intelligence and natural way of interaction between human and computer i.e., HCI. The main goal of hand gesture recognition is to create a system which can identify the specific gestures of human and make use of them to convey information for control the device. Vision-based hand gesture recognition is considered to be more feasible for HCI in the field of computer vision and pattern recognition with the help of latest advances. The project deals with various techniques, methods and algorithms related to the gesture recognition. Hand gesture recognition has the advantage to communicate with the system through basic gesture language. Edge detection is the most commonly used technique in image analysis, and there are more algorithms to enhance and detect the edges. An edge is defined as the boundary between an object and the background, and it also indicates the boundary between overlapped objects. The threshold boundary is used for detecting hand and gestures of user very faster. Based on gestures the specific applications can be opened.

Abstract: COVID-19 lockdown has made really a challenging situations for everyone and in every sector of the economy. In the same way, education sector is also not untouched from the effect of covid-19 lockdown. Lockdown has made education of the students a great challenge in front of the teachers. Although, teachers are making efforts to educate the students from home during lockdown by using various online methods. The paper was conducted to know the perception of teachers and their experiences of teaching students online during the lockdown. A questionnaire is prepared to find out how the teachers are managing the students and what the challenges they are facing during online teaching? To conduct the investigation 200 questionnaires were sent online to teachers of different public and private universities and colleges of Uttrakhand and out of that 161 responses were analysed. The analysis represents the impact of online education on the perception of teachers on the basis of various factors (Diversifying Knowledge, Technical Knowledge, Comfortability, Communication Gap, Teachers Burden and Working Hour). The analysis was carried out with One Way ANOVA test in SPSS 20. The t-test was used to know the perception of teachers on online education through demographics. From the analysis it was revealed that teachers believe that online education is actually diversifying knowledge of the teachers and increasing their technical knowledge but it also has increases the working hours of the teachers as the online connection has reduced the communication gap between the students & teachers throughout the day. The study also concludes that young teachers are more actively participating in the online education to teach the students. This may be due to the reason of their familiarity with the technology. Overall study says that the teachers are taking online education positively and they are actively participating in shaping the future of students during COVID-19 lockdown.

 Abstract

The main objective of the paper has been to explore health care utilization during pregnancy among a group of Birhor women. A cross sectional study was conducted among 44 Birhor women, who were aged between 15 and 44 years, living in Purulia district of West Bengal. Information on socio-demographic characteristics and utilization of health care services during the period of pregnancy were collected using standard pretested questionnaire. It was observed that 68.2 % of the participants received antenatal care services and all of them received tetanus toxoid (TT) injection and iron tablets, in case of iron tablet, very few of them (22.7%) completed the course of this drug. During antenatal care, about 70.5 % of the participants received supplementary nutrition from Anganwadi Centre. Bivariate analysis (chi square test) did not found any significant association between utilization of antenatal care services and socio-demographic factors. The qualitative data of the present study shows that study participants have alleged that the health care providers are not providing adequate care to them. Finally, study concludes that though a good number of Birhor women had utilized the maternal health care services during their pregnancy, still few of them were unaware about the importance of such services.

 Abstract

Religion, in its true sense, aims to connect man to the divine or the source. However, this idea is missing when one looks or assesses the various religions in the world. Why is it so? Has it been like this right from the time religion was practised by man? It is in this context that I have attempted to look or assess the meaning of religion as understood by philosophers of the recent past with special emphasis on Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda has shown the way through his understanding of religion as spirituality and his call for a combined knowledge that is spiritual as well as secular. He also recognized the need for the most important ingredients of spirituality, namely, LOVE and SEVA (loosely translated as service). Thus, these recent philosopher have given a new dimension (or brought back the real meaning of the term religion in consonance with its latin origin). Man exhibits the nature of animality and humanity wherein these recent thinkers have emphasised on the other nature, that is, the DIVINITY. This is in accordance with the Vedantic appraisal of manifestation of the real (that is the brahman). The great impact of reassessing religion in terms of spirituality is not merely to take it a transcendent level but also drive home the existential need of being grounded in the society as suggested by Swami Vivekananda or Saint Ramalingam of Tamil Nadu. This is where the transformation of man into the Divine gains significance. Answer to the question how this can be done is given in the paper.

 Abstract

In this paper we used the data measurements of average hourly and monthly of UV solar radiation during the period time during from 2003 to 2017 at four different selected locations in Saudi Arabia to optimization and evaluation of UVB, UVBest., UVI solar radiation and clearness index KtUVB solar radiation and total ozone column TOC (DU). The average hourly values of UVB transmission are reduced due to the atmosphere as a function of daytime. The effect of the atmosphere on UVB radiation is reflected in the research of its behavior at the Earths surface. The high extremely attenuation of UVB solar radiation occur by stratospheric ozone and scattering phenomena. The predicted values of UVB solar radiation are a good agreement with the measured of the UVB solar radiation. The accuracy between measured and predicted values of UVB solar radiation in selected locations in the present research varies from 1.27-3.87%. The maximum values of KtUVB solar radiation occur between Summer and Autumn months, while the minimum values occurs between Winter and Spring months for all locations in the present study. The maximum values of the total ozone column TOC are occur between March and April months at all selected locations with exception Taif site which occur between April and May months, and in whole the highest values of TOC occurs about Spring time in all study locations. The maxiumum values of UVI occurs around the summer and spring months at the selected locations during the period time in the prsent study, while the minumum of UVI occurs around winter and autumn months. The relation between the levels of UVI and solar zenith angle (SZA) at all selected locations in the present research are discussed. The monthly average has a correlation coefficient equal to 72%, 82%, 85% and 83% at Al-Baha, Abha, Jeddah and Taif sites respectively, so the solar zenith angle (SZA) is responsible for variations of UVI by72%, 82%, 85% and 83% at Al-Baha, Abha, Jeddah and Taif locations on the monthly values respectively.

 Abstract

: In the recent years, the banking sector has witnessed a large number of mergers and acquisitions. These mergers are carried out with a motive of enhancing performance, sharing resources and eliminating competition. Banks also indulge in mergers and acquisitions to provide for non-performing assets in their organization. Non-performing assets are those that no longer earn income for the bank. Such assets hinder growth and development in the banking structure. In the light of this background, a study on the pre and post-merger performance of ING Vysya Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank has been carried out. The motive behind this study is to understand the impact of the merger on the non-performing assets of the bank. The basic aim of this paper is to understand the background of this merger and to analyze the net NPA to advances ratio of ING Vysya Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. The scope of this paper is limited to the net NPA to advances ratio and net NPA to total assets ratio that would indicate a change in performance of the bank before and after merger in terms of its non-performing assets. The results of this study indicate a higher and improved performance of the bank after the merger. Thus, there is a significant difference between the pre-merger and post-merger performance of the bank in terms of the net NPA to Advances ratio and net NPA to total assets ratio.
