Physical fitness is usually achieved through proper nutrition, moderately vigorous physical activity, exercise and adequate rest. Before the Industrial Revolution, fitness was defined as the ability to perform daily tasks without excessive fatigue. However, due to automation and lifestyle changes, physical fitness is now considered a measure of the body's ability to function effectively and efficiently in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to tolerate hypokinetic disorders, and to respond to emergencies. Regular exercise, yoga and physical activity promotes strong muscles and bones. It improves respiratory, cardiovascular health, and overall health. Staying active can also help you maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and reduce your risk for some cancers. Healthy amount of manageable stress can lead to increased brain functioning, a boosted immune system and better preparation for future stressful situations, which can positively affect emotional health with your work and home life

The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between height and leg strength of west zone inter-university kabaddi players playing at different position. For the present study researcher has selected 60 kabaddi players of different playing position in kabaddi: 20 Raider, 20 Third and 20 Corner from West Zone Inter University Kabaddi (Men) Tournament 2022-23. Subjects were selected by purposive sampling method. Height was measured with the help of stadiometer and leg strength was measured with the help of standing broad jump. Collected data was analyzed by Pearson product moment of correlation at 0.05 level of significance. Result of the study shows the correlation coefficient between height and leg strength of the west zone inter-university kabaddi players playing in the position of third and raider were 0.584 & 0.452 and the correlation coefficient between them is more than the tabulated value of 0.433 at 0.05 level. This means that the relationship between height and leg strength of the west zone inter-university kabaddi players playing in the position of third and raider were found to be significant. Whereas, correlation coefficient between height and leg strength of the west zone inter-university kabaddi players playing in the position of corner was 0.294 and the correlation coefficient between them is less than the tabulated value of 0.433 at 0.05 level. This means that the relationship between height and leg strength of the west zone inter-university kabaddi players playing in the position of corner was found to be insignificant. Concluding the study it can be stated that the correlation coefficient between height and leg strength of the west zone inter-university kabaddi players playing in the position of third and raider were found to be significant. Engaging in vigorous exercise poses minimal risk for healthy individuals or those following medical advice. The greater health risks stem from habitual inactivity and obesity. Physical fitness is comparable to fine-tuning an engine--it helps us perform at our best. It enables daily tasks to be performed energetically, leaving room for leisure and emergencies. Fitness is also a cornerstone of good health and well-being, encompassing the performance of the heart, lungs, and muscles. Moreover, fitness influences mental alertness and emotional stability, reflecting its holistic impact. Fitness is a personal attribute influenced by age, sex, heredity, habits, exercise, and diet. While the first three factors are beyond control, the others can be improved. Physical fitness is better understood by examining its four basic components.

Yoga Philosophy advocates about mental modification (citta vritti) for the realization of spirituality or liberation. As long as our mind is tainted with impurities and intellect vitiated by evil thoughts, man cannot realize the spiritual truth. Spiritual insight can be achieved when the mind is purged of all impurities and rendered perfectly calm and serene. It removes the crust of affliction from the illumination of the sattva of the mind and removes the demerits which obscure discriminative knowledge. Breath control is the supreme austerity, which purges the mind of impurities and generates illumination of knowledge. The purpose of the paper is to highlight the power of pra?na?ya?ma to experience the Samadhi i.e. yoga's true aim. This present paper attempts to show how the yogic breathing practice leads an individual to the state of the spiritual realm or liberation.

This study investigates the adherence of sport players to the principles of Yama and Niyama, as outlined in classical yoga philosophy. Yama (restraints) and Niyama (observances) form the ethical foundation of yoga and have implications for discipline, mental clarity, and overall well-being. A survey was conducted among 378 sport players across different disciplines to evaluate their awareness and application of these principles. This was a long-term study which consist of different sports tournament conducted at Shree Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal's Degree College of Physical Education, Amravati. Sports tournaments includes only team games as Basketball (56), Football (91), Kho-Kho (70), Kabaddi (49), Hockey (56) and Handball (56). Results indicate that while awareness of Yama and Niyama is relatively high, consistent practice is limited due to competitive schedules and lack of formal yoga education. The findings underscore the potential benefits of integrating these principles into sports training programs.

The pursuit of physical resilience requires a harmonious balance between strength and flexibility, two critical attributes that underpin overall fitness and health. Mallakhamb, an ancient Indian sport, and Yoga, a millennia-old practice, both excel in cultivating these qualities through distinct yet complementary methodologies. Mallakhamb builds strength, agility, and endurance through dynamic, acrobatic manoeuvres performed on poles or ropes, demanding immense focus and discipline. Yoga, on the other hand, enhances flexibility, balance, and mental clarity through mindful asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques). This paper delves into the synergistic roles of Mallakhamb and Yoga, presenting a comprehensive analysis of their combined impact on physical resilience. By integrating the strength-oriented practices of Mallakhamb with the flexibility-enhancing principles of Yoga, individuals can achieve a well-rounded and sustainable fitness regimen. Drawing on historical insights, contemporary research, and practical applications, this study underscores the transformative potential of blending these time-honoured disciplines to foster holistic physical and mental well-being. This research paper recommends the significance of health related physical fitness components to be developed by the integration of Yoga and Mallakhamb as the training regimen.
