When climate change is going to pose the biggest threat ever faced by mankind , as stated earlier also it is being claimed through different scientific research that having the potential to provide substantial relief in terms of mitigating the causes of climate change and developing adaptation to the effects of climate change, again the use of technology can be the savior. There are availabilities of such technologies and more such technologies may be further developed and can be used towards combatting the crisis of climate change. Such technologies are being christened under different phrases including Environmentally Sound Technologies (ESTs). Before entering into the details of the process law and policies dealing with such technologies following section of this chapter shall be dealing with the definition and legal status of such technologies being identified as Environmentally Sound Technologies (ESTs) and the transfer of the same.

 Abstract

Haryana is an agrarian economy. Agriculture sector plays a major role in state economy. Haryana is selfsufficient in produce food and second largest supplier to central pool. It has been major contributor in green revolution. After green revolution, Haryana had one of the best agriculture performances in terms of agriculture output and export as compared to other states. This study focuses on analysis of the contribution of agriculture in GDP of Haryana, its growth pattern and ongoing structural changes in the economy. Structural change refers to transformation of economy with changing contributions of various sectors in gross domestic product. This paper also attempts to understand structural changes in economy of the state. In every developing economy, share of primary sector falls and that of secondary and tertiary sector rises in domestic income as the country develops. With structural change, the importance of agricultural sector reduces leading to underestimation of contribution of primary sector in growth of economy.

In this paper, we have analyzed different approaches to implement an electronic voting system. We have discussed these approaches with respect to voter anonymity and security from manipulations. This paper mainly focuses on the various proposed methodologies which are used to tackle the important issue of E-Voting or Online Voting. In this paper, we have presented the exhaustive analysis of the vast literature relevant and pertinent to Online Voting and the mechanisms associated with it. Although, there are lot many research contributions in this field, but here we have critically analyzed and summarized twenty significant research works and projects addressing it. These related works are recent, consistent and pertinent. The studied literature is also systematically arranged in tabular form for comparative analysis. Although different approaches used different platforms or technology, most of the techniques revolve around the use of fingerprint scans, face recognition and UID database information.

 Abstract

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a developing country like India significantly depends on agriculture and the associated industry namely agribusiness industry. These sectors are highly vulnerable with respect to extreme weather events (EWE). It is reported in various literatures that the frequency of EWEs has been increased in recent years over the globe which affects different sectors of agriculture and living beings. Therefore, it demands an accurate prediction prior to a season which would be helpful in this direction. Deep Learning (DL) and Machine Learning (ML) approaches have been popular in the field of prediction. However, it is also proved the performance of ML and DL models varies according to the data sets. In this project work, several ML and DL models such as Linear regression, Decision tree regression, Random Forest regressor, and Neural Network will be used for comparison of the performance in accurate prediction. For this purpose, temperature data of India at a monthly scale spanning over 1901-2015 considered for the analysis. Towards end of the project, the best model will be chosen and will be used for prediction of temperature at monthly scale. Further, significant effort will be given for the development of new strategy which can predict the extreme events.
