Detecting and segmenting Salient and co-salient object in an image and video has attracted a lot of interest in computer vision. Now a day's many applications have emerged and models have been proposed. We aim to supply a comprehensive analysis of recent add salient object detection and provides this field, completely different areas like generic scene segmentation, object proposal generation, strikingness for fixation prediction and co-saliency detection via looking deep and wide. Covering (20) publications, our survey (1) root, key concepts and task (2) core techniques and modeling trends, and (3) datasets that are used in the salient object detection and segmentation. We also suggest future research work.

Educational standards are constantly confronted with new benchmarks. Therefore, it gets imperative for educational institutions to improve upon their performance matrices by drawing legal mileage from quality parameters prescribed by accreditation bodies of India. Adherence to quality norms can yield a two- way benefit for educational institutions: (i) Facilitate branding (ii) Up-gradation of teaching standards. This conceptual paper employing qualitative data analysis aims at revisiting and subsequently refining the quality parameters of educational institutions. Inductive mechanism has been applied after subjecting the extensive literature to content analysis and conceptual framework analysis. The exploratory nature of the paper holds promise for policy makers, quality assurance personnel and academicians in higher education and would act as a curtain raiser for those academic institutions which are yearning for excellence via quality based momentum.

In developing countries like India the biggest handicap is limited finances available to build road by the conventional methods to provide a complete network of road system. Therefore there is a need to resort to adopt suitable cost effective road construction method, followed by a process of stage development of the roads, to meet the growing needs of the road traffic. The economy in construction cost can be achieved by selecting local materials including local soils for the construction of the lower layers of the pavement such as the sub-base course or sub-grade by improving their geotechnical properties. If local soil is not adequate for supporting wheel loads, the properties are improved by soil stabilization techniques. The abundantly available lateritic soil in coastal belt of South Canara does not satisfy the requirements (Liquid Limit ?25% and Plasticity Index ?6 %) to be used as a construction material. Thus the soil stabilized road construction involves the effective utilization of local soils along with suitable stabilizing agents. Use of Guar gum as stabilizing agent is recently developed technique in the area of soil stabilization. Guar gum can be used as effective thickeners and stabilizers. When Guar gum is mixed with the soil and compacted, it reduces the voids between soil particles to get the maximum compaction and increases the density of soil. The laboratory studies using Guar gum are reported in this project. Lateritic soil is treated with three dosage of Guar gum in ml per m3 of soil. The effect of Guar gum as stabilizer on geotechnical properties such as Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCC), California Bearing Ratio (CBR) and Compaction were investigated by conducting laboratory tests as per relevant codes. Test result indicated that there is considerable improvement in the geotechnical properties of soil..

In these paper, composite structures for conventional metallic structures has many advantages because of higher specific stiffness and strength of composite materials is discussed. The automobile industry has shown increased interest in the replacement of steel spring with fiberglass composite leaf spring due to high strength to weight ratio. This work deals with the replacement of conventional steel leaf spring with a Mono Composite leaf spring using E-Glass/Epoxy. The design parameters were selected and analyzed with the objective of minimizing weight of the composite leaf spring as compared to the steel leaf spring. The leaf spring was modeled in Pro/E and the analysis was done using ANSYS Metaphysics software.

TCP SYN Flooding is a type of DoS (Denial of Services) attack which utilizes the vulnerabilities in Connection establishment phase of TCP. In this attack, some sources send a large number of TCP SYN packets, without completing the third handshake step to quickly exhaust connection resources of the victim machine and make the server/machine unavailable for its legitimate users. Due to the continuous evolution of new attacks worldwide, many DDoS attack defense methods have been proposed. In this paper, we present the recent trends and incidents in attacks, comprehensive review of TCP SYN Flooding DDoS attacks methods, description of SYN Flooding attack, advantages and disadvantages of attack defense methods with the General comparison of the SYN Flooding defense methods.

ABSTRACT: Global warming has become an issue more and more serious to the world with its effects being experienced by common man all over the globe. The alarming rise in this effect has also called for various attempts to combat it on a global level. One such attempt to combat global warming is the introduction of carbon trading through carbon markets. This paper attempts at understanding the mechanism of the model of carbon trading and analyse it for its various advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantages thus realised would be scrutinised for further clarity into what the actual problem is, thereby, getting a direction on what must be the features of an effective model to combat climate change. The knowledge gained in this regard would then be used to propose a model that can overcome the limitations of the models that already exist. The research methodology employed is Applied research. Applied researches are often carried on a large scale incurring a lot of expenses aimed at solving modern world problems. All the information aiding this paper are secondary in nature and this paper is addressing the issue of climate change on the grounds of business structure (economic solutions). Study into the carbon trading model has found that the model is susceptible to frauds and it might not serve as an effective model to combat climate change.

Anticancer agents are associated with a plethora of side effects. Individual agent, within each category, has its own set of adverse reactions based on specific mechanism which in turn cause patient incompliance and deterioration of the quality of life. Among the different adverse reactions, the major one is drugs targeting the DNA, where there is an excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and subsequent buildup of oxidative stress. Several dietary supplements have been proposed by different researchers to curb these undesired side effects, amongst which antioxidants have gained increasing popularity as an adjuvant in chemotherapy.Cancer patients received chemotherapy may develop various kidney lesions that impair their life style, immediate survival as well as limit the adequate treatment of the underlying malignant process. The side effects associated with anticancer drugs are vomiting, stomatitis, diarrhea, desquamation of skin, alopecia, bone marrow depression, hepatotoxicity, ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, cardiotoxicity and many more. There are many mechanisms developed to describe the consequences of drug toxicity. One of them is lipid peroxidation. Peroxidation of lipid results in progressive deterioration of membrane structure and loss of proper functioning of cell in the presence of oxygen free radicals. All drugs are required to cross the omnipresent membrane to produce desired pharmacological action. The drugs may cause perceptible or detectable changes in the lipid profile while crossing the membrane phospholipids. So, drugs are the potential candidates to initiate lipid peroxidation. As lipid peroxidation is one of the reasons of drug toxicity, this article is a review of anticancer drugs that have the capacity to induce lipid peroxidation as a basis of adverse effects and significances of antioxidant as a suppressor of anticancer drug-induced lipid peroxidation.
