The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India introduced the CARE (Consortium for Academic and Research Ethics) list to help universities and researchers identify credible journals. International Journal of Creative Research Thoughts (IJCRT) has been recognized under this framework as a UGC CARE Approved Journal Publication.
In October 2024, the UGC issued a public notice discontinuing the old CARE journal list and introducing updated parameters. Under the new UGC guidelines, journals that follow a Transparent Peer Review (Refereed) process are now accepted for academic submissions, promotions, and PhD requirements. IJCRT is fully compliant with these new norms and holds a valid Transparent Peer Review Certificate.

A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a unique, permanent identifier assigned to a published research paper, making it permanently citable and globally traceable. IJCRT assigns CrossRef DOI — the gold standard in academic publishing — to every paper on request.
Why CrossRef specifically? CrossRef is the official DOI registration agency for scholarly content, trusted by publishers like Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley. A CrossRef DOI links directly to your paper's metadata, ensuring it appears in reference managers like Mendeley, citation databases like Scopus and Web of Science, and search engines like Google Scholar.
DOI links never break — your paper remains citable and findable forever, even if URLs change.
CrossRef DOIs appear in Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and all major academic search engines.
Papers with a DOI are cited significantly more than those without — boosting your h-index and academic profile.
CrossRef membership signals publisher credibility and is required by many indexing databases as a quality marker.
IJCRT follows a rigorous Transparent Double-Blind Peer Review process managed by 3000+ domain experts. Every submitted paper goes through the following structured evaluation pipeline before publication.
Author submits manuscript through the online portal or via email to editor@ijcrt.org. The submission should follow the IJCRT paper format template (downloadable from the website).
Day 0The editorial team performs an initial screening for plagiarism, formatting compliance, and scope relevance. Papers not meeting basic quality thresholds are returned for revision at this stage.

Two things changed the rules for Indian researchers recently: UGC withdrew the CARE Journal List, and transparent peer review moved from a nice-to-have to the central test of a credible journal. Each topic has a detailed reference page and a visual guide — start with whichever suits how you read.
