Steganography is the hiding of a secret message within an ordinary message and the extraction of it at its destination. Steganography is the word derived from Greek. Stego means hiding, graphy means writing. It is the science of embedding information into the cover image viz., text, video and image without causing statistically significant modification to the cover image. If the selected image is color image, then convert the image into pixels and the pixels into cells. Read each pixel and generate the color code for that pixel. Here we use LSB(least significant bit) technique to hide the message into the image. LSB data hiding technique does not affect the visible properties of the image. For using LSB technique, we first convert the color code into binary language. Now by using LSB technique, we change the least significant bit value for the binary code generated before. So after changing the least significant bit value whatever value we get, for that number we see the color code and then we hide our text in that pixel which will contain that particular color code. Repeat this process until we hide our full message.

In the present years, Text mining is a developing examination issue in Data Mining. Stemming is to discover stop of specific word. Stemming method is utilized to reduce words length to their resource structure, by expelling derivational and inflectional suffix. Various analysts have proposed the procedures for evaluating the quality and closeness of stemming calculations in various ways. This information the measure of the content quantity reduces by the stemming procedure however couldn't be valuable to numeral the exactness of the stemmer. In this paper, we have utilized one of them to evaluate the quality and proposed one basis for measuring the strength(WSF) and two criteria for measuring the accuracy(CSF and AWCF) of stemming calculation. The examination assesses the quality and exactness of four distinctive closes migration stemming calculations what's more, discovered that every one of the calculations allowed. in this paper are solid and heavier, yet are less precise. In any case, the precision of accurately stemmed words and conflating variation expressions of same gathering to medication source word is great, yet not edible, in Paice/Husk stemmer than alternate stemmers

This Scheme proposed an upgrade information security system for cloud the use of two Components. In this framework sender sends an encoded message to a recipient with the help of cloud component. The sender requires to catch distinguishing proof of collector however no need of different data which joins declaration or open key. To decode the outline content, recipient wants components. The main information or is an exceptional non-open security device or some tools associated with the tablet framework. Second one is close to home key or discharge key put away inside the PC. Without having those issues outline message in no way, nature or form decoded. The critical part is the security apparatus lost or stolen, at that point form content can't be decoded and equipment device is rejected out to decode outline fictional matter. The execution and security assessment show that the device is secure not resisted for all reasons and purposes connected. The device makes utilization of another equipment tool. This paper proposes Identity Based and characteristic based encryption approach of distributed storage which might be implementable On cloud stage. The record investigations the attainability of the applying encryption set of arrangements for information security and privacy in distributed storage with all sort of present day calculations.

we explore the security of an outstanding cryptographic primitive, in particular Public Key Encryption with Keyword Search which is exceptionally valuable in numerous uses of distributed storage. Unfortunately, it has been demonstrated that the normal PEKS structure experiences a natural weakness called inside Keyword Guessing Attack forced by the harmful server. Distributed computing, huge scope of clients and measurements administrators are affected to outsource their realities to cloud servers for enormous accommodation and diminished cost required for data administration. In any case, vital actualities should be scrambled sooner than outsourcing for security necessities, which utilizes records use method like catchphrase fundamentally, based record recovery. Accessible encryption is of expanding excitement for ensuring the information insurance in quiet accessible circulated carport. In this paper, we thinks about the security of a remarkable cryptographic primitive, especially, Public Key Encryption with Keyword Search (PEKS) that is very profitable in a few usages of distributed storage. The customary PEKS structure reports an unavoidable precariousness known as inside Brute Force catchword guesses attack moved through the cruel server. To address this security helplessness, we recommend some other PEKS framework named Dual Server PEKS (DS-PEKS). Through this propose framework, we can enhance the security for distributed storage frameworks.

Now-a-days people are interested in using digital images. There is a great need for developing an efficient technique for finding an image. Image mining is a vital technique which is used to mine knowledge straight forwardly from image. Image segmentation is the primary phase in image mining. It has been a difficult task in computer vision. The role of image segmentation is to decompose an image into parts that are meaningful with respect to the particular applications. The goal of data mining process is to extract information from a data set and transform it into an understandable structure for further use. The pixel discovery is critical issue for any specialists. In this work a strategy to recognize pixels by utilizing picture preparing methods with incorporates picture pre-handling , picture division, extraction, morphological operations and grouping system is used. Abnormal pixels are identified in filtered image by using marker controlled watershed segmentation and gradient magnitude. This present work proposes a technique to identify the pixel point adequately from the filter pictures. It will minimize blunder made by the human exposed eye. MATLAB is broadly utilized programming for the investigation of data mining identification from filtered pictures. We utilized MATLAB 2017b for building up this anticipate.

A bug report is typically assigned to a single developer who is then responsible for fixing the bug. Development a new bug firstly is found by developers or users. Then the bug is described as a bug report, which is submitted to a bug repository. Finally the bug trigger checks the bug report and typically assigns a developer to fix the bug. The assignment process is time-consuming and error-prone. Furthermore, a large number of bug reports are tossed (reassigned) to other developers, which increases bug-fix time. In order to quickly identify the fixer to bug reports we present an approach based on the bug tossing history and textual similarities between bug reports. This proposed approach is evaluated on Eclipse and Mozilla. The results show that our approach can significantly improve the efficiency of bug assignment: the bug fixer is often identified with fewer tossing events.

The project entitled Audio Steganography is the application developed to embed an audio file in another audio signal. It is concerned with embedding information in an innocuous cover Speech in a secure and robust manner. This system makes the Files more secure by using the concepts Steganography and Cryptography. Steganography, poor cousin of Cryptography is the art of hiding messages inside other messages such that the very existence of the message is unknown to third party. The goal of cryptography is to make data unreadable by a third party, the goal of stenography is to hide the data from a third party Through the use of advanced computer software, authors of images and software can place a hidden trademark in their product, allowing them to keep a check on piracy. This is commonly known as watermarking. Hiding serial numbers or a set of characters that distinguishes an object from a similar object is known as finger printing. Together, these two are intended to fight piracy. The latter is used to detect copyright violators and the former is used to prosecute them. But these are only examples of the much wider field of stenography. The cover data should not be significantly degraded by the embedded data, and the embedded data should be as imperceptible as possible. The embedded data should be as immune as possible to modifications from intelligent attacks or anticipated manipulations .Thus it is necessary that the hidden message should be encrypted.

Now a day, all people are very familiar with mobiles. To make them free from work tensions, they will keep their mobile in silent. When they keep their mobiles in silent they may miss some important calls. Which will make them regret in future? So, to avoid this situation we came up with MODE CONVERTOR. By using this, if a mobile is in silent and a same mobile number is calling continuously 5 times then at the 6-time call of the same mobile number will automatically convert into ring mode. By this a person will not lose their valuable information. Mobile learning management systems are very important for training purpose. But considering the present scenario, the learners are equipped with a number of mobile devices that run by different operating systems with diverse device features. Therefore, developing a mobile application for different platforms is a cumbersome task if appropriate tools and techniques are not practiced. There are three categories of mobile application namely native, web based and hybrid. For mobile learning system, hybrid is an appropriate choice. In order to avoid re-implementation of the same hybrid application for different platform separately, several tools are proposed for example: Phone Gap, Adobe Air, Sencha Touch and QT, each with their own strength. With proper use of the strength of individual framework or the combination of frameworks, more compatible and more stable, cross-platform mobile learning application specifically for quizzes and assignments can be developed

The major aim of Location Based Services (LSB) is based on the location, it is used to provide services like food ordering system, Google map and some kind of e-shopping websites are completely based on locations. Based on the user location LSB provide continuous report to the un trusted server to obtain the services which can avoid privacy risks.LBS have existing privacy-preserving techniques as requiring a fully-trusted third party, it offers limited privacy guarantees and incurring high communication overhead. In this paper, we propose a user-defined privacy grid system which is called as dynamic grid system (DGS). Privacy-preserving snapshot and continuous LBS have four effective requirements. . (1) A semi-trusted third party is responsible for matching operations correctly and it does not have any information about a user's location. (2) Secure snapshot and continuous location privacy is guaranteed to defined adversary models. (3) The communication cost for the user does not depend on the user's desired privacy level; it depends on the number of relevant points of interest in the domain of the user. (4) The system can be easily enlarged to support other spatial queries without changing the algorithms run by the semi-trusted third party and the database server. Experimental results show that the DGS is more efficient than the state-of-the-art privacy-preserving technique for continuous LBS.

In this paper suggesting a functional processing frame work nominated Image Cloud processing (ICP) to powerfully subsist with the data in Image processing field. The image processing algorithms to increase greater proficiency, it focuses on giving a general structure to the algorithms that can be executed in parallel to achieve the goal The ICP framework consist of two processing systems i.e.; Static ICP (SICP) and Dynamic ICP (DICP). SICP is handling the image information pre-stored in the distributed system; DICP is initiate for dynamic information. To Manage SICP, two new data representations named as P-Image and Big-Image are implemented to coordinate with Map Reduce to attain more optimized marshalling and higher coherence. DICP is enact into a parallel processing schedule working with the standard technique of the proper framework. Image Net dataset are used to authorize the capacity of ICP framework over the traditional state-of-the-art methods, both in time efficiency and quality of results.

People in the world connected together and share their opinions, massages, comments, through social networks like facebook, whatsapp, twitter, linked in, Youtube. Mostly these are microbloggings and comments that are from youtube videos which allows limited number of words to post and there is no limit in reading the posts. Social networks have millions of active users per day, to discuss and share their opinions on currents news and events that are happening. So this is the best platform to predict the opinions of the public in terms of sentiment analysis. This analysis can give positive and negative opinions of the public, the scaling of the positive (+1 to +5), negative (-1 to -5) and neutral (0) and also emotions. In this paper predicting the sentiment analysis on youtube comments are by using some machine learning techniques and methods in R language. This sentiment analysis can give the decision making for the current events, markets, government policies and products.

Organizations share their data about customers for exploring potential business avenues. The sharing of data has posed several threats leading to individual identification. Owing to this, privacy preserving data publication has become an important research problem. The main goals of this problem are to preserve privacy of individuals while revealing useful information. An organization may implement and follow its privacy policy. But when two companies share information about a common set of individuals, and if their privacy policies differ, it is likely that there is privacy breach unless there is a common policy. One such solution was proposed for such a scenario, based on k-anonymity and cut-tree method for 2-party data. This paper suggests a simple solution for integrating n-party data using dynamic programming on subsets. The solution is based on thresholds for privacy and in formativeness based on k-anonymity

Magnesium (Mg) and its alloy are potential material for biodegradable implants which makes promising due its mechanical properties. However, corrosion of these metals alloys is too quickly results in losing mechanical integrity. The problem had risen in scientific committee to solve/reduce the corrosion rate and enhance the biocompatibility of the Mg-alloy. In order to reduce the corrosion, surface was modified with the hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating. The synthesis of HAp on Mg-alloy substrate was carried out by an electrodeposition method i.e., chemical deposition. The post treatment of deposited HAp on Mg-alloy with alkali solution which results in electrodeposited calcium hydrogenphosphate coatings into the bone-like hydroxyapatite coatings. Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was studied to determine the barrier properties of the HAp coatings. Polarization test in a Hanks' solution was investigated to sense the protectiveness of the coatings, which is critical for better in-service mechanical integrity. The existence of the HAp coating and its morphology on Mg-alloy was verified using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR)

In this work attempt is made to increase the heat dissipation rate with the help of air as invisible working fluid. We know that by increasing the surface area we can increase the heat dissipation rate, so designing such a large complex engine is very difficult. The main purpose of using these fins is to reduce the temperature of the engine cylinder by air. To analyze the thermal properties by using ANSYS with varying geometry, material and thickness of cylinder fins. Parametric models of cylinder with fins have been developed to predict the transient thermal behavior. The models are created by varying the geometry, rectangular, circular and curved fins. Present thickness of the fin is 3mm, it is reduced to 2.5mm. The 3D modeling software used is Pro/Engineer. Presently Material used for manufacturing cylinder fin body is Aluminum Alloy 204 which has thermal conductivity of 110-150W/mk. In this thesis, it is replaced with Aluminum Alloy 7075 and Beryllium

In the last decade we witnessed a large increase in data generated by earth observing satellites. But today Satellite Image Retrieval is a big issue to discuss. There is huge amount of research work focusing on the retrieving of images in the image database. One of the most important steps in earlier stages of satellite image processing is cloud detection. Therefore, the satellite cloud images provide a valuable source of information in weather forecasting and early prediction of different atmospheric disturbances such as typhoons, hurricanes and also in the estimation of rainfall. Rainfall is the primary source for water. Rainfall forecasting is important for agriculture and living things. The type of rainfall is predicted by analyzing the size and shape of the cloud images. Shape is important feature in the meteorological satellite images. Different types of clouds have different shapes. The content based image retrieval with the fast and high matching retrieving ability is the need of the day for shape mining. The ultimate focus of this project reports to develop a Content Based Image Processing and Information as well as image retrieval (CBIPR) system using shape feature , for the retrieval of the satellite cloud images and also to forecast the rainfall from the meteorological satellite archival that allows us to study the past weather system and understand the current weather system.

Graphs are very powerful tools for describing many problems and structures in image processing. But graphs only describe some binary relations and are not always sufficient for modeling some complex problems or data. In order to overcome these difficulties and to provide a more viable tool for processing images by taking into account the topological and geometrical aspects of an image, combinatorial or hypergraph model is proposed. A relatively new class of algorithm termed combinatorial algorithm relies on approach to image processing. Combinatorics refers to arranging the elements into sub sets. This project aims three applications in particular to Denoising of Image, Image compression and Image Edge detection using combinatorial analysis. First the image can be converted into Hypergraph model by using Image Adaptive Neighborhood Hypergraph (IANH) model then this model can be used for different applications of image processing. Impulse noise is detected by analysing unit cardinality pixels in IANH model, that can be removed by different traditional methods and comparing PSNR and BER of these methods. In this project relates to a new method for lossless image compression, based on combinatorial (Hypergraph) analysis HGLC (Hyper Graph Lossless Compression). First the image can be represented into Hypergraph model by using IANH model. Then it can be modeled into number of rectangles to remove redundant data using algorithm to compress the image.

In remote correspondence, idea of parallel transmission of images is connected to accomplish high throughput and better transmission quality. Orthogonal Recurrence Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is one of the methods for parallel transmission. The possibility of OFDM is to part the aggregate transmission transfer speed into various orthogonal subcarriers all together to transmit the images utilizing these subcarriers in parallel. In this paper, proposed OFDM framework configuration is reproduced utilizing MATLAB simulink tool stash. The computerized adjustment plans for example, M-PSK (M-array Stage Move Keying) and M-QAM (M-array Quadrature Plentifulness Adjustment), which give method for parallel transmission, are contrasted with investigate the BER execution of outlined OFDM framework. Specified plans utilized as a part of OFDM framework can be chosen on the premise of the necessity of energy or range effectiveness and BER examination

In this paper, we analyze existing phase frequency detectors from aspects of theoretical analysis and circuit operation. Based on the circuit architecture, both classifications and comparisons are made. Then we propose a phase frequency detector for PLL design. The proposed phase frequency detector is simple in its structure and has no glitch output as well as better phase characteristics. Several prior art phase frequency detectors with the proposed one are compared for phase sensitivity, dead zone characteristics and maximum operation frequency. The proposed phase frequency detector shows satisfactory circuit performance with higher operation frequency, lower phase jitter and smaller circuit complexity. The speed of the proposed phase frequency detector is up to 3.5GHz. Moreover, the circuit design of a GHz PLL has been completed including high speed VCO, charge pump and phase frequency detector with an external loop filter.

Here a framework has been proposed that peruses the content experienced in regular scenes with the mean to give help to the visually impaired people. This paper portrays the framework plan and assesses a few character extraction techniques. Programmed content acknowledgment from normal pictures gets a developing consideration due to potential applications in picture recovery, mechanical autonomy and clever transport framework. Camera-based archive examination turns into a genuine plausibility with the expanding determination and accessibility of advanced cameras. Notwithstanding, on account of a visually impaired individual, finding the content is the primary imperative issue that must be tended to, in light of the fact that it can't be expected that the obtained picture contains just characters. At to start with, our framework tries to discover in the picture regions with little characters. At that point it zooms into the discovered regions to retake higher determination pictures vital for character acknowledgment. In the present paper, It has been proposed four character-extraction techniques in light of associated segments. The execution of the diverse techniques relies upon character measure. In the information, greater characters are more common and the best extraction technique turns out to be the succession: Sobel edge discovery, Otsu binarization, connected component extraction and rule-based connected component filtering.

MRI images form an essential part in the diagnosis and treatment process in medical field. Due to the magnetic field, which is the core operation procedure of MRI, there is a commotion in the acquisition and processing of the image in the form of noise. The diagnosis of the disease cannot be properly done owing to the noise present in the image which will hinder its path of accuracy. In this paper, we present an edge detection method using morphological gradient and type 1 fuzzy systems. These are found to be effective both on noisy and noiseless images and perform better than the conventional edge techniques like sobel, prewitt etc. The analyzing process is done using PFOM and PSNR parameters.

Abstract: The reduction of IC Engine fuel consumption by improved combustion using the modified new designs to increase its performance and optimize the existing designs is implemented. Air flow in CI Engine has effects in the atomization and dispersion of fuel flown into the manifold. The improved atomization of fuel injected allows for progressive and complete burning which helps in reducing the Knock. A four stroke CI Engine with 8 Horse Power is chosen for the current work to explore the performance characteristics. The swirl flow movement of the air is a major parameter in the optimization of the engine performance. In order to improve the air flow in the inlet manifold use of Convergent- Divergent Nozzle to Increase the velocity and turbulence at the end of the manifold. Finally nozzle provides better combustion of the injected fuel. The performance parameters were observed and compared with normal nozzle. It is noticed that at all loads mechanical efficiency gradually increases BSFC reduces. At higher load break power and indicated power also improves. This paper deals with a natural draft wet-cooling tower with various inlet conditions. A commercial code FLUENT has been used to simulate the transport phenomena inside the tower. In this a 50 tons cooling capacity model has been taken as reference model. The developed model is analyzed with two air flow rates in vertical direction and by combining air inlet temperature and water inlet temperature. The developed model has been updated and the height of the water inlet is increased from the basin height and the same analysis is done by using the two flowrates of air and water into the system. It is observed that the temperature and humidity inside the tower are the main influence factors on the performance of cooling tower. It is also observed that due to increase in height to an optimum condition the performance of the cooling tower is increased and further increase in the height decreased its performance. Analysis shown that due to temperature of fluid inlet, cooling capacity of the tower has been improved with increase in air airflow rate when compared with natural aspirated air. A turbulence model of k-? with energy equation is used for simulation

In this project, we are using the concept of "Zeer Pot Refrigeration" Technique for Air cooling. Air cooling is a method of dissipating heat from the system. It works by making the air to flow over the surface area of the cooled object. This cooling effect can be increased by having an increased flow of air over its surface. In all the cases air has to be flown over the object or surface from which is cooler than the air flown. The air has been cooled by chilled water and the heat transferred to that medium is transported outside where, often, fan driven water-to-air heat exchanging is again affected to reject the heat into atmosphere. Ambient temperature simply means ?The temperature of surrounding" and will be same as room temperature indoors. Refrigeration is the process of removal of heat from space where it is unwanted and transferring the same to the surrounding environment where it makes little or no difference. Zeer Pot is an evaporating cooling refrigeration device which does not use temperature. The rate of cooling depends upon outside temperature and relative humidity. In this project, we are combining the concept of Zeer Pot refrigeration and the air cooler. By using secondary liquid in the Zeer Pot and circulating in a copper pipe over the fan by which it absorbs heat from the closed system. Cooling depends upon the difference in the ambient temperature and the secondary liquid temperature. Then the Zeer pot full of water is used to cool the water flowing through it back to fan and it blow cool air. Various parameters that affect the cooling rate are ambient.

Four stroke Diesel cycle and Otto cycle engines have very low thermal efficiency due to high amount of energy is lost in exhaust. It is estimated about 28%of fuel energy is lost in exhaust of engine and 22%of cooling lost .Remaining percent of energy of the fuel about 50 % of energy gets converted in to work. The development of new engine is proposed to use the energy of exhaust and also cooling of the engine in two more strokes of IC engine leading to a external engine. The internal combustion engines are generally a major source of air pollution. However the spark ignition engines are recognized by their carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbon emission. One of the methods used to reduce the emission of these pollutants is the use of external combustion engine. This paper describes the development of an external combustion engine which uses air in tanks at pressures of 30 - 50 ?P? and at ambient temperature as combustion energy carrier, and hydrogen, alcohols or traditional motor fuel from organic minerals as chemical energy carrier. Research workings out are in the field finished to level of practical use. The mathematical and simulation model has been developed, tested, and verified to simulate a 4-stroke cycle of a spark ignition engine fuelled with gasoline

SOLEKSHAW indicates the meaning as SOLAR-ELECTRIC-AUTO RICKSHAW. In the busy streets of cities, mainly in Asian subcontinent, we find many tricycles and auto rickshaws. Auto rickshaws are driven by fossil fuel, which produces too much environment pollution. On the other hand tricycles or cycle rickshaws are used to carry two no of passengers and suitable for narrow streets at a speed below 20 Km/hr. Since it is not using any kind of fossil fuel, it is free from environmental pollution. But it is driven fully by manual power, which is a very strenuous job for driver. Now-a-days considering the climatic changes caused by environmental pollution, introduction of green vehicles has become very important. Especially in busy streets of cities, pollution is at alarmingly high levels due to very slow movement of automotive vehicles. Keeping this in mind, introduction of Solar Powered Motor assisted pedicab has been thought to be a wise prerogative, mainly in the busy and narrow streets of cities.

In this paper, an attempt is made to deposit microcrystalline diamond films by Hot Filament Chemical Vapour Deposition (HFCVD) method on Co-cemented tungsten carbide cutting inserts. To restrict the catalytic effect of cobalt binder phase for the formation of non-diamond carbon phases such as graphite and improve the adhesion between diamond and WC, inserts were pretreated with combined HCL and HNO3 solution. Seeding of the substrates was followed separately with Ti, Mo, W and diamond powders. Depositions were done at a pressure of 2.666 kPa, substrate temperature of 7000C, and filament temperature of 21000C with constant CH4 / H2 flow ratio of 0.5 / 100 SCCM. Characterization and purity (sp3 / sp2) of the acquired coatings have been evaluated by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Raman Spectroscopy. It is observed that there was no improvement in coating morphology when the treated samples were seeded with Ti, Mo or W powders. These results suggested that a continuous diamond film with well facet morphology is deposited with acid treated sample surface seeded with diamond powder. During dry machining, compare to uncoated tool, HFCVD diamond coated tool exhibits remarkable inertness towards aluminium leading to substantial reduction of cutting force and improved work-piece surface finish.

Indeed, it is undoubtedly accepted that the presence of SPV (solar photovoltaic) module is ubiquitous. The power voltage characteristic of photovoltaic (PV) module operating under partial shading conditions, under different tilt angles the output power obtained will be varied. In this paper a new method of obtaining maximum power by using bypass diode is implemented on a PVTR (photo voltaic trainer research system), such that uninterrupted output power can be achieved. The experimental results verify that the output power is varied with the varying of panel cells that are under shading area and with the change in the angle. Compared to many ways of studying the performance of a SPV module at different places, It is very convenient to study the effects that impact the electrical parameters which can be observed on a single equipment at one place named as standalone PVTR system

This paper deals with study of three phases Nineteen Level inverter fed induction motor drive. The nineteen levels are realized by cascading Two H- Bridges. The poor quality of voltage and current of a conventional inverter fed induction machine is due to the presence of harmonics and hence there is significant level of energy losses. The Multilevel inverter is used to reduce the harmonics. The inverters with a large number of steps can generate high quality voltage waveforms. The higher levels can follow a voltage reference with accuracy and with the advantage that the generated voltage can be modulated in amplitude instead of pulse-width modulation. The CHB topology consists of several H- bridges and dc sources. This topology is implemented to three-phase system. In the symmetric structure, the values of the dc voltage sources are same. However, in asymmetric topology the magnitudes of the dc voltage sources are unequal. Asymmetric CHB topology generates a large number of levels for the same number of components in comparison with symmetric topology for the same number of power electronic components. For asymmetric inverters, a new structure has been recommended in, which reduces the number of switches and dc voltage sources compared with the CHB inverter. However, for creating a large number of output. Multilevel inverters with more number of levels can produce high quality voltage waveforms. In this concept three-phase is used instead of single-phase and implemented for nineteen levels, which can generate a large number of levels with reduced number of IGBTs, gate driver circuits and diodes. A comparison is presented between proposed multilevel inverter and conventional cascade topology.

The continual rise in electricity demand, combined with serious environmental problems created by traditional energy systems have been driving societies towards the use of renewable energy sources. However, the natural variability of some renewable sources due to their strong dependence on the weather conditions result to a high fluctuated output power, which impacts on the local loads that are sensitive to pulsating power. Hence, there is a need to support these sources by use of energy storage device, where it either injects its stored energy or absorbs the excess energy during the transients in the renewable source; resulting in a smooth output power to the load. In this paper, the control of a bidirectional converter to interface an ultra capacitor as storage device to renewable energy systems is discussed. The controller of the converter system has been designed and simulated based on the integration of both Current Mode Control (CMC) and Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) methods. The controller performance is tested under different modes of operating conditions in bidirectional converter using MATLAB/Simulink simulation.

A bidirectional ac–dc con- verter is proposed for a 380-V dc power distribution system to control bidirectional power flows and to improve its power con- version efficiency. To reduce the switches’ losses of the proposed non isolated full-bridge ac–dc rectifier using a unipolar switching method, switching devices employ insulated-gate bipolar transistors, MOSFETs, and silicon carbide diodes. Using the analysis of the rectifier’s operating modes; each switching device can be selected by considering switch stresses. A simple and intuitive frequency detection method for a single-phase synchronous reference frame-phase-locked loop (SRF-PLL) is also proposed using a filter compensator, a fast period detector, and a finite impulse response filter to improve the robustness and accuracy of PLL performance under fundamental frequency variations. In addition, design and control methodology of the bidirectional full-bridge CLLC resonant converter is suggested for the galvanic isolation of the dc distribu-tion system. A dead-band control algorithm for the bidirectional dc–dc converter is developed to smoothly change power conversion directions only using output voltage information. Experimental results will verify the performance of the proposed methods using a 5-kW prototype converter.

This paper presents the Modelling and simulation of variable speed wind turbine driven permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) connected to grid through matrix converter (MC). MC is used to convert three phase ac variable frequency variable rotor voltages into constant frequency ac voltage. Modelling of PMSG is done using its dynamic equations and then MC is integrated for the direct conversion to constant frequency, variable voltage output. A normal voltage oriented vector control approach with proportional and integral (PI) is employed to track the maximum power from wind and regulate the active and reactive power injected into the power grid. Simulation results obtained using MATLAB /Simulink prove the performance of the proposed system for different generator output powers.

The main aim of this project is a control strategy for power flow management of a grid-connected hybrid PV-wind-battery based system with an efficient multi-input transformer coupled bidirectional-dc converter is presented. The proposed system aims to satisfy the load demand, manage the power flow from different sources, inject surplus power into the grid and charge the battery from grid as and when required. A transformer coupled boost half-bridge converter is used to harness power from wind, while bidirectional buck-boost converter is used to harness power from PV along with battery charging/discharging control. A single-phase full-bridge bidirectional converter is used for feeding ac loads and interaction with grid. The proposed converter architecture has reduced number of power conversion stages with less component count, and reduced losses compared to existing grid-connected hybrid systems. This improves the efficiency and reliability of the system.

This paper presents a review of the recent advances in matrix converter topologies used with the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) in wind power generation systems. Two-stage matrix converters known as sparse matrix converters are compared to the conventional matrix converter in terms of implementation complexity, cost, power rating and voltage ratio. Control strategies are combinations of two elementary blocs: the MPPT algorithms and the regulation approach. MPPT algorithms are crucial for the improvement of wind harvest and regulation approaches are generally based on adaptive, non-linear or linear automatic methods that are responsible for current control or field oriented control or reactive power control. On the other hand, several applied to the matrix converter-PMSG scheme are briefly presented.

This study is conceived the seismic and wind analysis of multi-sided high mast lighting structures (HMLS) of Steel and Aluminum of 20m, 30m, 40m and 50m heights. And also Fatigue design load factors like Galloping, Vortex shedding and Natural wind gust is also considered for the analysis from AASHTO 2001 Specifications. These loads are arrived at by adopting suitable importance factors. To understand the failure of HMLS under seismic and wind induced vibrations due to wind loads and earth quake loads. The ultimate focus is on the tip deflection of HMLS of different heights. The model has been analyzed using STAAD.ProV8i by adopting the finite element method. Analysis is done on Steel and Aluminum high mast lighting structures. Dynamic analysis such as Modal analysis, Response spectrum analysis and Time history analysis on HMLS is done. Primarily the modal analysis is performed and then the structures have been analyzed for wind loads with gust and without gust factor. Wind loads have been calculated based on three codes of reference namely IS-875 (Part 3)-1987 CODE, IBC-2009 CODE and AASHTO-2001 CODE. Gust factor has been taken from IS: 802 (Part 1 / Sec 1): 1995.

The management and distribution of water has been centralized. People are much dependent on government system, which has collapsed the tradition of water harvesting system and has resulted in disruption of community participation in water management. As the crisis of water continues to be increasing day by day, direct reformation is being required in water management system. In this present scenario scientific and technological studies must be carried out for assessing the present status for suggesting the suitable mitigation measures (1). The urban regions are being paved and built, resulting in reduction of groundwater recharge area. Consequently, large amount of good quality water that rains over the cities is withdrawn from recharge as it is directed into the municipal drainage system. Moreover, in extreme rain events the drainage systems may be over-flooded which may lead to ecologic and economic hazards. This work reviews the history of rain water harvesting and discusses the impact of rain water harvesting in modern-urban environments on the hydrological system. Two types of rain water harvesting methods are being discussed and compared with the help of Land Use and Land Cover classification (LU/LC). LU/LC of telephone colony has been done., that indicates the rain water harvesting may increase the direct infiltration and can contribute to the ground water recharge .Water management and rainwater harvesting are increasing their prominence with the alarming growth in population and urbanization as well as severity in droughts (2). Land use and land cover leads to mitigating climate change which includes a forestation and modification of city building and organization and changing agricultural management practices to increase carbon in soil and to accelerate removal of carbon from the atmosphere.

The capability of durable structure to resist weathering action, chemical attack, abrasion and other degradation processes during its service life with the minimal maintenance is equally important as the capacity of a structure to resist the loads applied on it. Although concrete offers many advantages regarding mechanical characteristics and economic aspects of the construction, the brittle behavior of the material remains a larger handicap for the seismic and other applications where flexible behaviour is essentially required.
