 Abstract

Subjects with upper cross syndrome who fulfilled the selection criteria were recruited in the study. This study include upper cross syndrome subjects who have posture with forward head and rounded shoulder, with CV angle range below 48 degree and Bournemouth questionnaire average about 15%, Age group of both gender 18 to 25 this study excluded subjects with any fractures over the neck and upper back region, inflammation/ any joint effusion, joint instability, recent injury/ significant pain, disease affecting the tissue being stretched. 40 subjects were selected from Saveetha College of Physiotherapy by inclusion and exclusion criteria. All these subjects understood the purpose of the study and inform constant was obtained prior to participation. Initially these 40 subjects have been given self-assessment Bournemouth questionnaire to assess neck pain. Each subject has been taken Craniovertebral angle test by using goniometry. Followed by initial assessment subject with Upper Cross Syndrome have been given stretching and strengthening exercises for three weeks. Post-test was done after three weeks. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS: The collected data was tabulated and analyzed. To all parameters mean and standard deviation (SD) was used. Unpaired t-test was used to analyze significant changes between pre-test & post-test measurements. RESULT: The statistical analysis revealed statistically significant difference in pain and CV angle using stretching and strengthening exercise among subjects with Upper Cross Syndrome. The post- test values gradually decreases in BMQ test and increases in CV angle test. CONCLUSION: From the result, it has proven that effectiveness of stretching and strengthening exercises on Upper Cross Syndrome decreases the pain range and normalizes the CV angle.

 Abstract

Commodity Derivative Market have played a pivotal role in strengthening the agricultural and non-agricultural economy of the country. It has become an attractive investment vehicle for the investors as it acts as an hedging platform to the various players of the value chain. Across the world, commodity exchanges have been contributing significantly towards market efficiency, price discovery and risk management. As such, this paper aims to provide a gist of the available research focusing on market efficiency, price discovery and risk management of the Agri-Commodity Derivative Market in India

 Abstract

High pressure research is also a specialized field of physics research in the same manner just as study below 20 K represents a field for low temperature specialists. High pressure physics is a challenging branch of physics, in which one has to produce, apply and measure high pressure on the material and study the physical properties at a given pressure simultaneously. This means that these pressures need to be sustained for times long enough. The pressure dependence of (magnetization per unit mass) of iron and nickel under hydrostatic pressure up to 0.25 k bar and found that the variation is too small to be determined quantitatively. But the author found that ??/?p was negative for iron and positive for nickel. A subsequent repeat of these measurements by the same workers gave negative values for this pressure effect in nickel also.

 Abstract

ABSTRACT Vulvodynia is pain in vulvar region more than 3months. This case report is based on a female suffering from this condition. Aim of this study: was to find the effects of cold water sitz bath along with conventional treatment in management of vulvodynia. Methodology: The patient came with history of painful sexual intercourse and difficulty in sitting in hard surfaces; wearing tight clothes. She was assessed using vulvar pain functional questionnaire (VPFQ); Female Sexual Functional Index (FSFI) and finally cotton swab test was done both before and after the treatment protocol. Result: After the analysis of pre and post test values of the cotton swab test, female sexual functional index and the vulvar pain functional questionnaire results patient shows improvement with the following treatment regimen Conclusion: the cold water sitz bath is a effective treatment method and can be followed along with conservative management to treat women with vulvodynia.

 Abstract

This paper includes study on cable-stayed bridge. For analysis 100 m, 150 m, 200 m, 250 m and 300 m spans are considered. The software used for study is CSIBridge software. This paper is concluded with study on various parameters of this of bridge. The parametric study includes study on deck moment, study of pylon, how response of bridge varies span wise, pylon height and span length to thickness of girder. The effect of superstructure changes on substructure is also studied.

 Abstract

During the British rule, cultivation of India was mainly depended on nature. Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru took the plan for big dams. For the sake of modern economy for India, he formulated an extensive plan of scientific and technological development. Nehru anticipated that the heavy dependency over nature could be reduced by the proper use of the water resources of the country. A large number of dams may be the solution to this problem. He was so convinced to the effectiveness of those dams that he compared the dams as that of 'Temple of Modern India'. Jawaharlal Nehru planned Nagarjunasagar dam on 10 December 1955. On 13 January 1957Nehru inaugurated the work of Hirakud dam as a power and irrigation project. In the five-year plan, the initiative was taken for the development of the Bhakra-Nangal Project, Damodar Valley Project, Hirakud Project, Tungabhadra Project, Kankarpara Project etc.
