 Abstract

Morphometry of the terrestrial slug Laevicaulis alte (Gastropoda: Styllomatophora) was carried out. Slugs were collected from the foot hills of Southern Western Ghats region of Courtallam area. Frequency distributions were calculated on the basis of animal length, breadth and live body weight (at motion and at rest). The study revealed significant positive correlation ( P>0.05 ) of the length and breadth of the slug with relevance to body weight of the animal at motion and at rest. The regression equation of length at motion was y = 1.169x + 0.516, (R2 = 0.983) and at rest it was y = 0.684x + 0.76 (R2=0.988); the breadth at motion y = 0.276x + 0.541 (R2 = 0.851) and at rest y = 0.414x + 0.713 (R2=0.839). Morphometric measurements are basic details of the animal to study taxonomy, comparison of distribution of similar species and their ecobiology.

 Abstract

Micro Finance has become is recent years, a fulcrum for development initiative for the poor, particularly in the third world countries. It has been practiced in varying forms in different countries and has come to be regarded as important tool for poverty alienation through social and economical development of poor, with focus on empowering women. It was observed that Microfinance often gets equated nearly as credit for Micro enterprises while the poor also needs savings, consumption loans, having loans and insurance services.

 Abstract

: In the recent years of development, the abundant use of power electronics based components and systems have made a major impact on power quality of electric power supply of distribution system and raised various power quality issues. There are various technologies used for mitigation of power quality related problems. One of them is shunt active power filter(SAPF). A modified harmonic detection method based on Gauss-Newton method is used for three phase three wire shunt active power filter. The main objective of this method is to compensate for load harmonic current. A model of three-phase three wire SAPF based on the proposed modified recursive Gauss-Newton method is developed using MATLAB/Simulink. Synchronous Reference Frame theory [SRFT] is a well-known reference current generation technique, used for mitigation of harmonics. Both the reference generation method is implemented in MATLAB/Simulink and their performance comparison has been discussed. .

 Abstract

Biodegradation of biomedical waste (LDPE) samples using microbial consortium of microorganisms was monitored as a function of number of days and the results were presented in Percentage weight loss due to degradation was determined by subtracting the weight of the sample taken out on a particular day i.e., 40 days of exposure from the initial weight ie., the weight of the sample at the start of degradation study each time. It was observed from the results that percentage weight loss by Bacillus cereus, Bacillus licheniformis and Bacillus subtilis revealed 34.61, 26.92 and 15.38 %. Similarly, when the polymer LDPE was pretreated with UV exposure it was 46.15% for Bacillus cereus UV treated sample followed by Bacillus licheniformis exhibited 38.46% and Bacillus subtilis revealed 26.92 %. In the present study, bacteria cultured on nutrient broth medium until the mid - exponential phase was transferred to the test tube with constant volume of 1.2 ml to which increasing volumes of hexadecane were added. Bacillus cereus incubated in a liquid medium containing polyethylene as sole carbon source colonized the polyethylene and formed a sparse biofilm. BATH assay demonstrated that hydrophobicity of Bacillus cereus exhibited 89% and it was very high in compared to Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis.

 Abstract

This paper examines the trajectory of the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in creating a cashless economy. A cashless economy is an environment in which transactions are conducted using a credit card or debit card, internet banking, an e-wallet, a point of sale, and so on rather than physically moving currency. The report also demonstrated how the employment of information and communication technology gadgets and techniques in the banking industry has resulted in major changes in the quality, mode, and substance of banking operations around the world. This study also discussed the significance of digital competency in the cashless economy and developed a framework for them. "Digital competence refers to the set of knowledge, skills, attitudes (including abilities, strategies, values and awareness) that are required when using ICT and digital media to perform tasks, solve problems and communicate" [1]. Digital proficiency is an important prerequisite for a cashless economy.

 Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare the technological innovations that have shaped the evolution and growth of communication technologies. The evolution of telecommunications from first to fifth generation communication networks is described, as well as the applications of the fastest expanding Device-to-Device technology and the Internet of Things. We created an end-to-end simulation model in Matlab 2016 b utilizing freely accessible 5G libraries and the LTE toolkit. We intend to evaluate the performance of several characteristics, including data rate, latency from one end to the other, and data delivery ratio. Then learn about 5G technology and its features.

 Abstract

In societies worldwide, the interplay between culture, religion, and women's consent shapes attitudes, practices, and legal frameworks regarding women's autonomy and decision-making. This comprehensive analysis delves deeply into the complexities of this intersection, exploring various cultural, religious, and sociopolitical contexts to elucidate the intricate dynamics at play. Through an in-depth comparative study, we aim to unravel the nuances of how culture and religion influence women's consent and examine the implications for gender equality, human rights, and social justice.

 Abstract

A pleasant atmosphere for learning cannot be achieved without effective classroom management. The focus of the article is on how different classroom management strategies affect teacher commitment and effectiveness in the classroom. Teachers may find strategies that complement educational objectives and student requirements by contrasting different management systems. Teachers' dedication and competence as educators have a major bearing on whether or not they choose useful methods. These elements work together to affect how and what students do in the classroom. Instructors may improve their management abilities via continuous professional growth and self-reflection. In order to develop good behaviour and academic performance, teachers need to be able to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment.

 Abstract

Since female entrepreneurship may alleviate poverty, create jobs, and advance gender equality, it is regarded as a crucial component of economic progress in developing nations. In contrast to earlier times, women now play a significant part in entrepreneurship and contribute to global economic progress. The government is paying more and more attention to women entrepreneurs as a result of increased research, new courses, and awareness of the field's significance. As a matter of fact, the liberalisation and globalisation that have occurred in India have created a wealth of prospects for the country's economy. The paper discusses about the role of Manipuri women in society who hold quite a prominent role from ancient period. Women in the Northeast are typically shown as managing markets and conducting trade. One of the largest marketplaces in Asia that is managed and controlled by women is the Nupi-Keithel (Women's market) in Manipur. Its role as a controlling institution of women that influences and benefits the state's whole economy gives it a unique position. The paper critically analyses the financial needs, social commitments, mobility, availability of workers, difficulties in obtaining loan etc. faced by women entrepreneurs of Manipur. Their contribution toward the economic and social enlistment of family was never given consideration. The study emphasises on the need of continuous attempt to inspire, encourage, motivate and co-operate with women entrepreneurs, awareness program should be conducted on a mass scale with the intention of creating awareness among women about the various areas to conduct business. Women entrepreneurship provides effective framework for sustainable development of the country. It also helps in sustainable revitalization of GDP of a country by generating the employment.
