The overvoltage at motor terminals fed by variable frequency drives produces severe stress on motor insulation systems. The paper aims to provide a comparative survey of existing filters designed to suppress overvoltage. These filters are passive and installed at both the motor and inverter terminals. The overvoltage is typically caused by the high change rate of the inverter output voltage (dv/dt) and the surge impedance mismatch between the inverter and the power cable of the motor. The paper discusses the design methodologies employed for these passive filters. This could include how the filters are constructed and tuned to address overvoltage issues. This paper presents a comparative survey of the existing filters of overvoltage suppression, which are passive filters at both motor and inverter terminals. The article also evaluates the practical applicability of these passive filters. This could include cost, ease of installation, and maintenance requirements. The design methodologies, effectiveness, and practical relevance of these passive filters are discussed through computer simulations based on MATLAB, and promising approaches are recommended for researchers and industrial users.

Skin is the most powerful protection of important organs in the human body. It acts as a shield to protect our internal body to get damaged. But this important part of the human body can be affected by so serious infections caused by some fungus or viruses or even dust too. Around the world, millions of people suffer from various skin diseases. From acne problems to eczema people suffer a lot. Sometimes a small boil on the skin can turn into a severe issue or even an infection that will cause a major health issue. Some skin issues are so contagious that one can be affected by another just with a handshake or using a handkerchief.

In view of passive microwave remote sensing microwave emissivity of smooth and bare arable soil surface is estimated by emissivity model. Fresnel reflectivity of soil surface is estimated using experimentally determined complex permittivity of soil and observation angle as the input parameters. The dielectric constants of soils (real and imaginary parts) are determined using wave guide cell method at a single microwave frequency 9.78 GHz. The roughness of the surface is characterized by the Root Mean Square (RMS) height. The rough surface emissivity is calculated using semi empirical model by taking into account the effects of RMS height.

The present study aims to explore various Green practices practised in higher educational institutions (HEI's) to attain environmental sustainability so that economic and social development go hand in hand without compromising our environment. Use of renewable sources of energy, proper conservation and management of flora & fauna, rain water harvesting, proper disposal of e-waste and chemical waste from laboratories, reducing use of non-renewable resources, recycling & reusing precious and limited resources, construction of green and eco-friendly buildings by using locally available building materials and incorporating traditional wisdom are some of the green practices which can solve the global environmental problems such as global warming and climate change. HEI's play a major role in spreading environmental awareness not only among students but also among masses by leading society by example. Some green practices such as conduction of certificate courses in organic and natural farming, promoting green lifestyle are also suggested in this paper. These green practices can improve our quality of life, build image of the institution and reduce carbon footprints to save our mother earth.

The present study intends to study the direct and indirect effects between science achievement, science process skill and intelligence of secondary school students by using path analysis. The present study involves secondary school students of English medium. Researcher has reviewed previous related studies. Path analysis is a multivariate technique which provides possibilities for causal determinations among sets of measured variables. Path analysis with all the variables being standardized has provided clear picture of direct and indirect effects of independent variables on dependent variables. The importance of multiple and multivariate path analysis over multiple and multivariate regression analysis. Moreover, path analysis provides basic for comparison of findings of similar studies.

India is one of the countries with maximum number of young population and engineering education has been one of the most popular and favourite domains of education among them. India is known to be one of the largest and most qualified pools of workforce. In the last few decades, corporate sectors have propagated engineering education as the need of the hour to hire new professionals for their business development. This made engineering students and institutes to understand and attain key requirements of the employers. The country has witnessed a huge growth in manufacturing and service sectors. This was also augmented with the Government's initiatives under National Skill Development Corporation. This paper attempts to study the loopholes that exist in the current engineering education to meet the corporate requirements. It also attempts to understand the employers' requirements and the set of skills engineering students possessed and review the opportunities to fill this wide gap between the two with the interference of engineering institutes. This will also try to scrutinize the perceptions of all stake holders involved in engineering education.

Abstract: A society develops only when its social, educational, cultural and economic condition develops and it effects each and every citizen in the society. But some typical problems and situations create barriers in the way of social development, such as anti-social activity, poverty, racial discrimination, economic deprivation, corruption, unemployment, beggary, lack of infrastructure etc. It is more evident in rural and remote areas. In this paper, we attempt to make a model theory which will help every librarian directly or indirectly to participate in social developmental work. We also present here an evaluative study on the main topic.

On the environmental side, high consumption places stress on rivers, lakes and ground water aquifers and may require dams and flooding with serious ecological impacts. The discharge of polluted water once it has been used damages aquatic ecosystems. On the economic side, high levels of water use require ever-increasing and expensive investments in water system infrastructure needed to gather, deliver and dispose of water.

Solar energy is a promising alternative to traditional sources of energy that can help save the world by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, creating jobs, and improving energy security. As a clean and renewable source of energy, solar energy can mitigate climate change by reducing our dependence on finite fossil fuels. The solar industry is also creating new job opportunities worldwide and is expected to continue growing in the future. In addition, the use of solar energy can improve energy security by providing locally generated energy that is flexible and scalable. By investing in solar energy, we can create a cleaner, more sustainable, and more equitable future.
